Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

I have used turbo over twenty yrs and talked to folks directly that have been very helpful. This year I will try some automatic uploads of 1099s and see how that works.  If I need assistance I'll let you know.  If you have a easy path to follow let me know.

You will need to purchase the TurboTax Business Edition and after installing the Business Edition on a Windows based personal computer you can purchase and download the Hawaii state program.

TurboTax does not have stand-alone state software.

Explain Excess WithDrawal, says I received a withdrawal of an excess traditional IRA contribution from 2019.

Received no excess withdrawal, don't know why they are asking and how do I reply?

@Alfred8aol If you received a 1099-R in 2021 indicating a 'removal of excess contribution for 2019', (codes JP in Box 7), click this link for info on how to report  1099-R for Removal of Excess Contribution.

You will need to Amend your 2019 Return to report the earnings on the excess contribution in 2019 as income. 

If you did not make an Excess Contribution in 2019 (and later remove it), contact your plan administrator as you may have an incorrect 1099-R.

I filed an extension in 2019 and then still filed late. I mailed it in around mid November. I received my state tax refund but I heard nothing from the IRS. I have just spent almost 3 hrs on their web site running down every rabbit hole,  with no results. How do I find out if they received my tax return?

I purchased 2020 TT (CD, Mac) and cannot transfer my 2019 return (also CD, Mac).  I need a password that I forgot.  Clicking "Forgot your password" does not help. Password was not saved in keychain but in another password saver called Roboform. Will it help to delete the cd version and install the on-line version?
