Where do I enter last year's AGI in TurboTax?
Your adjusted gross income (AGI) is equal to the total income you report minus specific deductions, or adjustments, that you’re eligible to take. To verify your identity when e-filing, the IRS requires either the AGI from your prior year tax return or the 5-digit Self Select PIN you created when filing last year. If assigned one, a valid current year Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) is required for verification purposes.
When filing with TurboTax, IRS verification is part of step 3 of the Finish & File section.
You will first be asked if you have an IP PIN. If you or anyone on your return has been assigned an IP PIN, you must enter your current year 6-digit value in order to have your return accepted.
Next, you will be asked what tax paperwork you have for last year. Select I can't get my 2024 tax return to view more options, including entering the 5-digit Self Select PIN you created when filing last year.
Continue through the questions until you land on a page where you will enter your prior year AGI.

How do I correct my AGI in TurboTax Online?

To revisit the AGI section in TurboTax Online:
Sign in and open your return if you haven't already done so.
From the left menu, select File.
Select Start next to Step 3 (if needed, revisit Steps 1 and/or 2 to activate Step 3).
Select I want to e-file.
Continue until you see where to enter last year's AGI.
How do I correct my AGI in TurboTax Desktop?
To correct your 2024 AGI in TurboTax, open your 2025return and then:
Select the File tab and continue until you reach the screen that says To continue, select options below.
Enter your corrected AGI in Enter last year's AGI here.
Select Continue and follow the screens until you've re-transmitted your return.
