There is no live chat.  You can post a question here or contact customer support.

 

Phone support is not provided with the Free Edition.  If you are using a paid version of the software or if you purchased PLUS you can get phone support when customer support is there.  Otherwise, post your question here and someone will try to help.

If you filed late last year there is a good chance that the 2018 AGI never was entered into the e-file database. Try using 0 (zero) for the AGI.

If you filed an amended return use the AGI on the first filed tax return.

If it continues to reject then the AGI in the IRS database might be in error. Mail filing is the only option.

I would like to complete my taxes but you are requesting last year's transcript and I can't retrieve it. Please advise as to why an old transcript is needed?

Do you need to enter last year's AGI to efile?

You need your 2020 AGI to efile 2021. The AGI is on 2020 1040 line 11. If you filed a Joint return you use the same AGI for each spouse.

If you didn't file 2020 or filed it later in the year or mailed it, then try entering 0 for the AGI. If that doesn't work you will have to print and mail your return.

i am using the program to transmit a return

 

we already transmitted it , but the program do not recognize the transmission, said incomplete tranmission

 

we try to retransmit it, but said that you already have a tranmission , and i have to contact you

Sign into your online TurboTax account, then, go to Tax Home. You can check your e-file status here.

 

Try resetting your modem (and router, if you have one). This often resolves problems where the program locks up or "freezes" during e-filing. Shut down your computer and any other devices connected to your modem. Unplug or turn off your modem (and router, if you have one).

ive been PAYING TURBO TAX for the last 7 years and i am requesting a copy of last year's filing. An hour and a half later im no closer to my request. it seems to me the larger a company gets, customer supper suffers. every place ive tried to get a look at last year's return i am sent to an area trying to make sales. as large as turbo tax has become, dropping the ball on CUSTOMER SERVICE will be it's demise. im not giving up yet but very close. you do not know your customer when after signing in there has been a continued concern about me purchasing one of your services, when the fact is i have paid turbo tax all SEVEN YEARS ive done business here.

quickly have someone send me an email to resolve this, and this again as i do every year, i take a look at last year's return and then PAY TURBO TAX to file my return.

P.S.   JUST IN CASE once again my username is [removed] and my password is [removed]
