IND-031-04 - The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records.

    You have to enter the 2017 AGI as shown on the 2017 tax return -

    Form 1040 – Line 37
    Form 1040A – Line 21
    Form 1040EZ – Line 4

     

    If you filed a 2017 late in 2018 or you did not file a 2017 tax return, then enter a 0 (zero) for the 2017 AGI and e-file again.  If the IRS rejects the tax return again then you will need to print and mail the tax return.

    If you have taxes owed on the 2018 return then include a copy of the first rejection email you received when mailing the federal tax return so that you will not be penalized for filing after the due date if you filed an extension request.

    Hello, I filed last week I received an email stating my refund was rejected. I try to re enter or submit. It asks for last year's income, which I don't know I lost my paper work. Can u help me?

    The 2018 AGI is on the 2018 Federal tax return you filed Form 1040 Line 7

    To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

    Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on View adjusted gross income (AGI)

     

    Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

     

    If your tax return continues to be rejected with the 2018 AGI then enter a 0 (zero) for the AGI and e-file again.

    If this is also rejected then you will have to print and mail the tax return.

    My federal was accepted , but state was not . I can't figure out how to fix the issue .

    It rejected my status referring to my birthday. I only have one birthday that I know of.

    Last year filed with TurboTax but had a diffferent phone number and email address can’t pull up 2018 to get AIG  tried to recover but having a hard time

    Irs rejected bc I tried filing through HR block and they needed ID verification and I couldn't get it done through them. So I used turbo tax and did ID verification and now they are rejecting bc I already filed through HR block. What do I do?
