I just purchased TurboTax plus 2017, to download my 2017 tax return. I didn't get a receipt in my email, I can't speak to anyone in customer support for my purchase, and most importantly, I can't access my 2017 return. How do I remedy this without having my bank file a claim for the purchase price?

Note: Every year, before mid-October, print a copy of your current year tax return and save it as a tax file and pdf, too. That way you will have it when you need it for school, a loan, next year’s tax return, etc. without going through a lot of aggravation (and expense) to get it.
WHEN did you purchase PLUS? Your question said you purchased it in 2017.
And, to reiterate, I purchased 2017 plus edition three days ago, to access my 2017 tax return. I followed the instructions to purchase the product. If I click to download my .tax file, it says I need to purchase the plus edition. My bank statement makes it clear that I purchased plus on Friday, but I have no receipt in my email.
Well since you can't buy Plus for 2017 now in 2019 you must have paid for 2018 Plus to unlock 2017. Did you pay for Plus in the same account that 2017 is in?
Or did you buy the 2017 Desktop download?

I think you must have bought the Desktop program.
Sorry you needed to pay for 2018 online Plus or higher in the same online account. Buying the Desktop program won't unlock it. Call in and ask them to unlock it since you bought the Desktop program.

You purchased the Plus edition but it was not for 2017. You had to purchase the Plus edition for the 2018 online tax return to access the prior year online tax returns.
In TurboTax Free Edition, you can purchase PLUS to unlock your prior-year .tax file.

I guess I did buy Deluxe for Windows. I followed the on-screen prompts that came up when I went to download my 2017 return. The prompts directed me to purchase Deluxe 2017. The problem is, I don't know how to contact support. Every time I tried, I got redirected here, or I need to pay for support.

Your other option is to pay for the 2018 PLUS online to unlock the prior year return and then get a refund of the downloaded version you do not need ...
