TurboTax Not Working

Anybody else unable to move forward in turbotax? I just get a spinning blue wheel. Been impossible to use for several days. Very slow progress.

    I am not having any delays in any other areas of the program. I've entered all itemized deductions, and regular W-2 information with no problem.


    Try this and see if this clears the issue for you.  Please log completely out of TurboTax.  Then, in your browser, please clear your cache and delete your cookies.  After this, close completely out of the browser.  Re-open everything including logging back into TurboTax.  Also, you can try completing your return in a different browser as well.

    When i click review i'm only getting a spinning wheel

    Turbo Tax is an absolute mess. I've been unable to file my taxes and will not have to redo my taxes AGAIN using another software package. TurboTax used to be great program. Not anymore.

    Can not enter state tax amount for deduction

    I am using the TurboTax Premier downloaded program.  I can not advance past the beginning of the state returns screen. When I push the blue "Start" button to begin my California return, a window pops up allowing me to update the software.  When I perform that function, the updater window tells me its completed and brings me back to the same window.  No advancement, just a continuous loop

    I reinstalled the program, which didn't help. So, I transferred the uncompleted tax file to another computer and installed the program there.  The state download worked on the new computer and I was able to complete and file my taxes.  I've completed two years of taxes on my first computer, so it was weird that the program did not work this time.

    Why won't it let me go to file my state, but federal worked?

    Click on State on the left side menu to complete your state return.   You can't e-file it until your federal return has been accepted if you did not file them together.  @tponce99

    Loads and loads of problems - along with the same as yours - 'the spinning blue wheel'. The only resolution was to open a new account.

     

    Along with that, Turbo Tax:

    • Will not take my password even though I reset it
    • I paid for yearly update of Federal & State- cannot access my account
    • I had to create a new account and repay for Federal & State
    • I admit, that I did my taxes on the 14th and should have started earlier, therefore, may have been able to resolve the problem
    • Seems like less service for more money - most likely I will look around next year before using Turbo Tax again - pity though, I have used TurboTax for many years.

    I am having the same problem all these other folks are having. I have scheduled time to do my tax return and now can't do anything because the "Turbotax Home and Business I bought won't work. If I could get a phone number for Turbotax I would really like to talk to someone from there and get this done!

    2017 Home & Business edition will not run and is in read only format which stops any entry or use.

    Where did you get the 2017 TurboTax program?
