You cannot find out who claimed you on their tax return and the IRS will not tell you.
If your e-filed tax return is being rejected by the IRS because your SS number has been used on a tax return already received by the IRS you will have to print and mail the tax return. Within a year the IRS will be sending you and the other party letters in the mail to investigate. The loser of the investigation will have to repay the tax refund and pay penalties and interest.

How can I find out if someone claimed me on their income taxes
I want to file my taxes to see if someone has claimed me because I am disabled and I never claimed but I think someone has claimed me
How do I file online
Can I file my taxes online
@SheilaloveB50 The only way to find out if someone claimed you as a dependent is to e-file a tax return of your own and see if it is accepted or rejected. The IRS will not accept an e-file from you if you have already been claimed as someone else's dependent. But even if someone claimed you, the IRS will not tell you who claimed you. Do you actually have a "suspect" in mind? Is there someone who can claim you as a dependent?
If you cannot be claimed as someone else's dependent then you can file tax returns in order to seek the stimulus checks if you have not received them. In order to get the 1st and/or 2nd stimulus payment you have to file a 2020 return---which cannot be e-filed. A 2020 return can only be filed by mail.
To get the 3rd EIP payment you have to file a 2021 return---which can be e-filed until October 15, 2022. Use the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review. If the e-file is rejected you can still file your return---but print, sign and mail it and let the IRS sort out the issue of whether someone claimed you.
@SheilaloveB50 - not sure what you are trying to accomplish is going to work - nor why would it matter.
If someone has the right to claim you under IRS rules, then they can. They don't need your permission. And it is their option whether they do or not. What they decide doesn't affect your tax filing in any event.
But when you file a tax return, you are asked CAN someone claim you. Whether that someone claims you or not, your response to CAN someone claim you is the same.
For simplicity, someone CAN claim you if

does that help?
I have been advised that I have been fraudulently claimed as a dependent by a taxpayer; I have never been a dependent in my entire adult life, and have also been advised that my stimulus payment may have been impacted as 2 haven't been received. Please advise asap. Thank you!
@karend3 -
have you filed your 2021 or 2020 tax return?
when you state you have not received 2 of the stimulus payments, which of the 3 that were issued did you receive?
how were you advised you were fraudulently claimed? An IRS letter as a result of filing a tax return?
@karend3 The IRS will not tell you who claimed you as a dependent-----if in fact someone claimed you. How were you told that someone claimed you fraudulently? Did you file your own tax returns for 2020 and/or 2021? If you did not receive a stimulus payment, the ONLY way to get any of those payments now is to file a 2020 or 2021 tax return and use the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review to get the payments.
But if you filed tax returns for those tax years and the e-files were rejected with the message that someone already used your SSN, then you can still file your own tax return and mail it instead of e-filing it. The IRS will process the return-----it will take them a lot longer----but they will process it and contact you later to sort out whether you could be claimed as someone else's dependent.
What does it say in your online account with the IRS?
https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account
The first EIP --or stimulus check--- was issued in 2020 It was for $1200 for adults and $500 for a dependent under the age of 17. The IRS used information from either your 2019 or 2020 tax return to issue those checks so they could send them out in a hurry.
The 2nd EIP or stimulus was issued in late 2020 or early 2021 and was $600 for adults and $600 for dependents under age 17.
If you did not receive the 1st and/or 2nd stimulus check you can get it by filing a 2020 tax return and using the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review. It will end up on line 30 of a 2020 tax return and will be added to your refund (or reduce your tax due).
The 3rd EIP--or stimulus check-- was sent out in mid-March or later in 2021 and was for $1400 per person--adults and dependents no age limit.
If you did not get the 3rd EIP payment you can get it by filing a 2021 tax return and using the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review. The credit will go on line 30 of your Form 1040 and will add to your refund (or reduce your tax due).
How could I find out if someone claimed me on their income tax
@Tracyfluker The IRS will not tell you if someone claimed you. However, if you say that no one can claim you, and your own e-file is rejected for a duplicate Social Security number, that is a big clue that somehow your SSN was put on a tax return by someone. If that happens, you cannot e-file. Print, sign and mail your own tax return and let the IRS sort out the duplicate use of the SSN.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
I think someone I know filed
minutes of dependent on your taxes
My E-mail is [email address removed] and I would like to know if someone claiming me as a dependent this year
You will need to prepare your return as if you are not claimed by someone else, but an independent. You will need to print and mail your return to the IRS and your state. The IRS will look at your return and that of the person who claimed you. They will ask you for more information so they can determine who is correct. Once they have made a determination, they will adjust the returns as necessary.
