my turbo tax money
@barricar, I'm not sure I understand your question. Can you please provide a few more details regarding what assistance you are seeking?
yes I'm looking for my taxes money my Federal
If you are referring to your federal tax refund have you checked on Whereās My Refund? it has the most up to date information available about your refund. The tool is updated daily (usually overnight) so you will just usually need to check once a day.
For more on the timing of your refund please see this TurboTax FAQ.
Help! I cannot find the files from my 2019 filing.....I can see/find the 2018 files, but nothing for 2019. I know I did not delete it. How can I find these? Stupidly, I apparently did not print a copy.....and I need them for a refi now.
Thanks,
Mike

You have to sign onto your 2019 online account using the exact same User ID you used to create the online account.
Close all TurboTax windows on your web browser (including this one). Copy and paste the account recovery website link onto a new web browser window and run the tool.
Use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of all the User ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery
If none of the user ID's received will access your 2019 account, then use the option shown in blue on the account recovery website, "Try something else"
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
To access your prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
missing all of my turbo tax information

That's not enough info to understand your situation. Please describe what you are experiencing and what is missing. And what product are you referring to--Online TurboTax or desktop software (CD/download)? If desktop software, is it for Mac or Windows?
I am using online software for Windows. I completed my taxes using the software but did not yet file. I have some changes to make but I am unable to retrieve my completed taxes. Please help. Thanks.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2020 online tax return where you can make your changes before filing.
Or do you mean you downloaded and installed the Desktop program? When you start the program and go up to File-Open it doesn't find your return? Did you save it?
The tax files (and PDF files) should be in your Documents then in a Turbo Tax subfolder. If you can't find them do a search for all files ending in .tax or .tax2020 or .tax2019, etc. And check the Recycle Bin. For Windows 10 check the One Drive. Did you make any backups? Like DropBox.
If you don't have the main .tax file you might have one that starts with a Tilde sign ~ like "~your name.tax2020". That file is if your computer crashes or your real file gets lost or deleted or corrupt so you can restore it.
Find your Tax file in Windows
My 2019 tax information has all disappeared. I've searched the computer and there is nothing in the trash bin. My daughters return is there but when I open mine, it is just an empty return. I'm going to stop using turbo tax if I can't import from one year to another. Very frustrating!!!
Don't understand why this problem keeps happening and TT does NOTHING about it. It's NOT a user login issue (only one person, ME), files are not in the trash bin, files are not on the One Drive - they are just gone! However, when you activate TT, it asks questions like it knows where you left off. I'm completely baffled because even though it seems to "know" the file exists, it can't find it. Forcing you to what? Start from scratch?
When you Google this problem TONS of complaints come up! Yet there is not fix for this? This is absolutely outrageous. This is concerning my 2020 taxes so please let me know if there is a solution to this problem.
If you are using the ONLINE version then you must log in with the same account that you used last year to transfer in the prior year information and see all the prior year files. Hopefully you did not use the same account for your daughter's return ... if you did then your return was permanently overwritten by the second return since the ONLINE version requires a different log in for each taxpayer.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.
