All my turbo tax information is missing. Where did it all go?

Double check you're logged into the correct account.  Intuit has screwed some stuff up while merging mint, turbotax, etc into intuit accounts.  For me, this caused me to do my taxes for 2 years on my mint login without knowing it because my mint login used the same email/userID as my turbotax login before they were merged with intuit.

Even though mint is intuit, you cannot directly log in to turbotax with your mint credentials.   What you CAN do (and what you might have accidentally done) is log in to mint, and THEN go to turbotax and it will just keep your same credentials logged in.

Try this solution/workaround

1. Go to mint.com (or another intuit owned/acquired website you have an account)
2. Log in
3. In the bottom left (for mint) click on "Intuit Account"
4. On the intuit account Overview Page there should be a card with "Go right to your products" with TurboTax listed
5. Click on TurboTax, you'll get a pop-up saying you're headed to turbotax, tap ok

If you don't see TurboTax on step 4, then this wasn't the account you used to do turbotax

• What product are you using for 2024--Online TurboTax or desktop version?  And what did you use for 2023?
• Was the file you are transferring from a *.tax2023 data file or a PDF?  You should not transfer from a PDF.  Use the *.tax2023 data file.
• What kind of information is missing? 

If you are using Online TurboTax, download a copy of your 2023 return and see if it has any missing info.  If it does, that implies that your finished return is in another account.   Many people end up with more than 1 account.

If you're using desktop TurboTax, then it's likely that the *.tax2023 data file you transferred from is not the final version of the 2023 data file "as filed" from last year.    A lot of people do test returns or start over, etc. and end up with more than one *.tax2023 file.   So search your computer, any external storage, etc. where you may have archived other instances of a *.tax2023 data file.

All the files on my computer are gone also.  I have used the same computer for years and every file from 2023 to 2021 is gone.   There has to be a bug.
