I paid for auto file! Why was I not able to file it? 2nd year in a row.
You do not pay to efile. Efiling is free and included. The online fees are to prepare the return whether you efile or print and mail. Why is your efile rejecting? Is it for the AGI?
ENTER 0 FOR AGI. The IRS took a long time last year to process 2020 returns so the AGI didn't get entered in time. Especially if you mailed it. That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
I have only received one stimulus check is there any way you can help me figure out what is going on?

Stimulus payments were only sent by the government if you are not a dependent on someone else's tax return.
Which of the three Economic Impact Payments did you Not receive? The $1,200 EIP1 in early 2020, the $600 EIP2 in late 2020 or the $1,400 EIP3 in early 2021.
@Lovelyolga - please look at line 30 of Form 1040 for both your 2020 and 2021 tax return. if you did not receive a stimulus payment that you were eligible for, the IRS should have credited you for the missing stimulus payment on this line of your tax return.
The 2020 tax return is where any of the first two missing stimulus payments would have been cr editied. The 2021 tax return is where the 3rd stimulus payment (if missing) would have been credited.
When will I get my refund
@Tuplic - Turbo Tax nor anyone on these boards would know that.... if you paper filed, assume it will be 6-9 months from the time you filed until your return is processed. did you check the WMR tool?
Hi i been waiting for so long for my tax refund and i been checking up on it and i dont see any of my information on my status wat should i do
Did you efile? Was it Accepted? When?
Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?
If you used the Online version you can check your efile status here
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. And check your spam folder for them.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
Keep waiting. The IRS is taking 6 months or more to process returns this year. 3 weeks (21 days) is just an estimate.
Im trying to track my refund but I'm having a very hard time . It's saying I'm putting in the wrong information
@Gwen11 this should be the only information requested:

It also depends on how you filed. You didn't say if you efiled or mailed a paper return. If you efiled, make sure your efiled return was accepted. If you used Online TurboTax, you can log into your online account and look at the Tax Home to see if it was accepted. What does the Tax Home of your account show for the status of your return?
But if you filed on paper, that would be a whole different ballgame. If you filed a paper return, you have to do the printing and mailing; TurboTax does not mail it for you. If you chose that method, did you physically print and mail it? A paper return can take a very long time to appear in the IRS tool. It can take 6 months (or more) from mailing just to show up in the IRS WMR tool.
I'm trying to figure out what's happening with my Mom's tax return that I filed in October 2022. I have yet to hear anything regarding her refund and expect that there is probably something wrong if I have not heard back by now. My Mom is 103 years old, and I have been doing her taxes for a number of years as she has had dementia and has been in a memory care facility. I tried to check through IRS2go but using her SS #, filing status and refund amount from my tax return gave me the message that my info was incorrect even though I copied it directly from the tax return. Can you help find out what has happened?
@dapa300 Did you e-file your mom's return? Or file it by mail? If you filed by mail it is going to be months before you see anything. It is taking the IRS six to nine months to process mailed returns. Until a human opens the envelope and enters the information into the system, nothing will show up on the IRS refund site.
If you e-filed:
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
Were my taxes mailed?
