It's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used

If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online.

You can also request a transcript from the IRS

I have been calling the 800 for support and automated system will not let me speak to a human. Same issue as someone else wrote. I give my account details and told it is not found and hangs up. Meanwhile I am logged into Turbotax and recognized for using the product for 3 years. I want to speak to someone live as there is a bug with your software. After entering my employer name on the W2 review page it is some all kinds of crazy letters. If I can't speak to a human then I will call my credit card company to dispute the charge. I don't want to use this software if there is no real customer support especially for issues with your product.

Does your employer name have an & in it?   There is problem with that.  Leave it out or type AND

 

The & in W2 box C is not showing correctly.

Would someone please call me on my cell at [phone number removed]. I have been a turbo tax user for over 15 years. It is a shame I cannot get to talk to a human!!!

My issue is that the irs has not responded to my 2020 filings. The initial filing was in February 2021 and an amended return a few months later that still leaves a net refund due. How do I handle this years 2021 filing with turbo tax? What about my validating agi figure from last year which the irs has not accepted. I am one of the 8Million returns irs has not responded to...PLEASE CALL ME AT [phone number removed]

Sorry no one can call you from this public user forum.  If your 2021 return rejects using the 2020 original AGI then enter 0 for the AGI to efile.  If that doesn't work you will have to mail this year. 

Did you efile 2020?  Was it accepted?  You should not have amended until the first return was done processing and you get the first refund.  When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  what does it say?

 

Then when you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepte.d or Rejected your efile.  Check back though your emails if you have them.

If you are referring to tax year 2021 and are using the TurboTax online editions, it depends if you have either paid for the TurboTax account or you have filed the 2021 tax return and it has been accepted by the IRS.

If this applies then you can get your 2021 copies using either of these procedures -

 

Sign onto your online account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Click on Preview or print returns

OR -

Sign onto your online account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2021 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

This is mainly a user community forum, and there are many reasons that a return can be rejected.   We may be able to provide more info if you provide the rejection error code or message.   Did you get an email with the code/message?

 

You can also log into your Online Account and look at the Tax Home.   Does it say anything about  your rejected return there?

Your state efile service, which I have already paid for, does not work.  I want a refund of the efile charge so I can print the return and mail it, assuming your software is capable of doing that.

This is mainly a user community forum--not a direct route to TurboTax Support--but we can tell you how to reach them.   But if you explain in detail your efile roadblock, someone might be able to offer a suggestion in this user forum so that you can continue to efile.   

 

I assume you are using the desktop software (CD/download.) 

  • What state is it, and what/where is the roadblock?
  • What is the error message you are receiving?
  • Are you trying to efile the Federal and state returns at the same time, or did you previously efile the Federal return by itself?
  • If you efiled the Federal return by itself, has it been accepted?
  • Go through the REVIEW tab and the error check again.
  • Occasionally a state form might not be yet finalized and ready for efiling.  Look up your state forms in the State Forms Availability tables:
