The setup.exe is on the CD. You need to go to the CD drive to see the list of files and then double click on the setup.exe file to start the installation.

Can this license code be used on the app? I’m using the app and I came across a spot where I need to upgrade to premium and I have a code. Where do I enter it on the app??
No. Sorry you can't apply the Desktop CD/Download program purchase to the Online version. The App is just a portal to the Online version. They are separate prices and work different. You have to pay for online and try to get a refund for the Desktop program. Or switch to your program.

You need to install the program on your computer and move your online return to the Desktop program. You can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).

Desktop software has the tools up on the top of your TT screen.
If you are using online, you are using the wrong program. You need to switch to the desktop software to get what you paid for. You have to download it, update it and open it up from your own hard drive to use it.
When I installed Turbo Tax, at no time was I asked to input the license code. Now, when I click on the icon, a blank page appears re: license activation.

If you purchased a CD for the TurboTax 2022 desktop edition then you should have installed the software on your personal computer and during the installation you will be asked to enter the license code.
There is no reason for you to be using the TurboTax online editions. The license code is not used with the online editions.
