Hi. My sister bought Turbotax Premier. She downloaded it to her computer, then brought the cd to me to download. I got it downloaded fine but, it won't let me type in the License code. I have it and the download is saying downloaded. But it won't let me type in the code.

Does your sister own your computer? She can install it on 5 computers she owns. How did you download it? Did you log into her account?

I purchased Turbo tax and have the license code. it is telling me a price for purchasing turbo tax. Where do I enter license code???

The license code is used with the TurboTax software you purchased either as a CD or Download. When the TurboTax software is being installed on your personal computer it will ask for the license code.

There is no reason for you to access the TurboTax online web-based editions since you will be using the software on your computer.

I bought the CD but have no CO drive on this computer so did the download

I entered the code and it came back and said there is already an account. My friend loaded the CD on her computer. Am i understanding it right that 5 peop;e cand do their taxes on this CD

Not exactly. You can install Turbo Tax on 5 computers you own. You can prepare unlimited returns and efile 5 for free.

But if you installed from the CD you can not download it from online now. You can't do both CD and download. See the new info on this FAQ

Are you using the CD/download?

We see people get confused and they keep logging in to online software which will require them to pay at the end. You need to use the desktop software. One way to tell if you are using the right software---your tool bar. Online software has the toolbar in a black vertical column on the left side of the screen. Desktop software has the tools up on the top of your TT screen.
