The $10 credit can be applied to things like additional State product purchases or early e- filing fees. The credit will automatically come up at the time of payment to Intuit. It is not a rebate or credit towards the purchase of the original product.
Hope this helps.
@jack4par The $10 credit will be automatically applied. Usually to the state efile fee. I got it. The state efile fee is $20 but I only got charged $10. Are you trying to apply the License Code to the Online version?
Sorry you can't apply the Desktop CD/Download program purchase to the Online version. They are separate prices and work different. You have to pay for online and try to get a refund for the Desktop program. Or switch to your program. Did you get the program installed and activated with the 16 digit License Code ok?
If you are in the Online version, You need to install the program on your computer and move your online return to the Desktop program. You can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info.
I purchased a second state, and my desktop software (a download from Costco) didn't apply the $10 credit to that purchase. I'll see if it does when I try to efile the state returns.
My $10 credit did not automatically apply to my state efiling fee. When I go to pay for my state tax efile fee, it is still coming out as $20.
Anyone know whom I can contact to get this credited?
