Have used TurboTax for years. Since beginning.
During 2018 tax filing period ,my health was squirrely. Had heart surgery & eye surgery. I had purchased & used 2018 TurboTax Premier software that showed, I owed a much larger than past year amounts of taxes, to both the federal & state.
So, I had a CPA Firm compute & file my 2018 Fed & St Returns. Showed very little tax. Mistake!
I now, need to file an amended 2018 return for both federal & state. I now, believe the original TurboTax 2018 computations were more correct.
I have recomputed my 2018 federal & state returns on - 2018 TURBOTAX PREMIER.
How do I file a 2018 TurboTax AMENDED return, when the original 2018 returns was filed by hand?
Thanks,
Jack

Hello I'm trying to get my filing status for 2018 if there is anyway you can send it to my email at [email address removed] so I can get my stimulus I don't remember how much I received
@Yvette49 No one else has access to your return or account. If you do not remember how to access your account, try the recovery tool.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

I purchased the 2018 disc for 80 dollars to file my taxes today 7/14/2020. I know I’m filling late. The program was downloaded to my computer and everything was working well until I had to finalize the forms. State is showing that I need to pay an extra 24 dollars to file. When I go to the link to pay the 24 dollars the website states the due date for filing 2018 taxes has closed and to call the [phone number removed]. Ive been calling all day and was put on hold for an hour then my call got lost. I’ve called 5 or 6 times since and the call gets dropped. I really need your help. I’m trying to apply for a home and need my taxes filled
It is too late to efile 2018. You have to print and mail it. So don't pay the 24.99. Ignore the error messages about Efiling. You can't efile federal either.
