If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons     (BEFORE you e-file) :

• Remove Premium Services
• Remove MAX Defend & Restore
• Remove a state
• Remove PLUS Help & Support
• Remove Pay With Your Refund

If you already filed it is too late to delete it.  How did you pay the fees?  Did you have the fees deducted from your refund?  You can try asking.   When you call use the words "Billing Issue" and not Refund.   How to contact Turbo Tax

Are you confusing "MAX" with TurboTax Live?   Were you charged for using "Live" expert help but did not contact an "expert"?   Is that what you mean by "I filed my taxes myself?"  You can have a conversation with customer support about being billed for Live if you did not use Live help----good luck.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue.  If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help.  Do not use the word “refund.”
