I have both a MAC and a windows computer. I also have a license 36ZR etc. I was talking to Leah Finecy yesterday and she told me how to down toad it to my MAC and then told me how to get it over to my windows computer but i forgot how to do it. Can you help me?
My return was suppose to be received on or about march 4th I still have not received it, the IRS website is not up to date. However I did receive my STATE refund, I need to speak with a live person, and that seems to be impossiable!
Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities, There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic. The IRS is backlogged —-they are still trying to process millions of 2019 returns; and they received over 35 million e-files when e-filing opened for 2020 returns.
Some delays are resulting from incorrect amounts that folks entered for stimulus checks they received. Many people have been confused by the recovery rebate credit and completed it incorrectly. The IRS may delay your refund while they cross-check to see what you received.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If accepted, they try to process it within three weeks but it can be longer. if you have earned income credit or additional child tax credit, it will be at least the end of February before you see your refund, due to the PATH act that requires that they hold your refund longer.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

You cannot reach a live person. You must give your SSN up front to the recording. I need to speak with a human before I give out my SSN.

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
Refund request [social security number removed]. I'm checking expected refund date. Request submitted Jan. 29, 2021.

While following prompts I came to a section regarding income. Wants information on my bank. 1099-R form has information on investment income. It wants my bank information but when I type in institution who has our money, your site doesn't recognize our investment name.
When filling out information regarding 1099R your system wants to know bank information. It is not letting me go forward. I used my phone to take a picture of the form . It seems to be bound up on wanting "bank'info. Our pension gets deposited in our 2 accounts.
Please click here to contact a tax specialist by phone.
I cannot get any response on the status of my tax return. It was accepted 2/12/2021 and is still under review.
@Freckles123 When entering your 1099-R, choose 'Change How I Enter My Info' (screenshot).
On the next screen, choose 'Type it in myself' (screenshot) and you won't be asked any Bank Info.
