Still can't efile my State of CT return. I was waiting for the CT-1040 form to be updated and finally got that but still can't file because "return is a non-calendar year return". Customer Service told me the forms would be ready by Feb 13th. My daughter filed her CT return using the Turbotax app back on Jan 28th, I bought my software from Amazon. I no longer believe this a problem with the State of CT, it's a problem with Turbotax. I'm past frustrated and just getting plain angry. Turbotax tells me to mail in my CT return - I didn't pay for the software so that I could mail it in.

Where is this link taking me? I don't know if I can trust it. Why not just answer my question here?
It is completely prudent to be leery of clicking on links that you aren't sure about. @JJjrvr80
Catina was referring to this solution posted by User Jreyno7799:
If you are having the issue with the desktop software here is what you just do to solve your issue of forms not being ready. Close out the program --> go to add/remove programs on your desktop/computer --> completely uninstall the 2024 TurboTax software (don't worry it doesn't delete your started return, that file is saved) --> once removed go to where you downloaded your original software and redownload it.
Once downloaded and installed again, the system will update all applicable state and federal forms. By doing this my CT return had all the forms refreshed and now showed the 1040 and 1040 dependent forms as available and ready to file. For some reason there is a bug in the updating for CT and it doesn't come through as a normal update, you have to completely delete and reinstall the software. This should fix the issue all of us are having.
I bought the software on Amazon and I contacted their customer support. I asked if I delete my Turbotax software if I could reinstall it and they told me that I could not do that, it is a single use purchase. So I am back to waiting for Turbotax to fix this so I can efile. Can Turbotax fix this? A lot of people are having this problem. I don't want to mail my Ct State return, I want to efile. Does Intuit know if this can be fixed? Thank you.

Does reinstalling TT accept the activation code used to install the software originally?

Surprisingly, I didn't have to put the code back in, It just went right into my existing taxes where I left off, but the State was there and ready for filing..
Thanks for the info. I uninstalled the Turbox software and reinstalled it. It didn't help. The problem is a FORM, the CT information worksheet - it is unsupported, meaning that the State of CT hasn't released it yet. No one knows when they will. You get a message when trying to efile your CT State return that is a non-calendar year return. Trying to contact the State now, wondering if they even know about it (kinda late to not be able to file, right?) and hoping they will eventually fix it.
Can you clarify which forms you are submitting with you return? The link below will help you determine if the forms are unsupported in TurboTax or if the update should be correcting your issue:
The only form I am waiting on (as far as I know) is the Ct Information Worksheet. Intuit Customer Service confirmed that is unsupported, meaning the State of Ct has to update or release it. What I don't understand is how my daughter, using the Turbotax App on her phone, filed her Federal & Ct State taxes on Jan 28th and got her refunds. How can the State of Ct approve her form but not mine? I downladed my software from Amazon. There is no release date set for the form I need. I get the message "return is a non-calendar year return" when I try to efile my Ct State return.
You need to uninstall and reinstall your TurboTax Software. See information in this community thread: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/re-turbotax-says-ct-forms-will-be-available-1-23-...
Already uninstalled and reinstalled my Turbox software and it did not fix my e-filing problem, I still get the message that my return is non-calendar year return. Called the State of Ct and was told this is a Intuit/Turbotax problem, they are done with their updates and can't help me. Obviously there is a flaw in the Turbotax software that no one knows how to fix, waiting for Ct State updates is no longer an option.
You'll have to call TurboTax Customer service. Here is a link: Turbo Tax Customer Service
I have called them several times. They are very friendly but have no idea why we are having a problem e-filing with CT, told me to mail in my return - that's not why I bought the software. I'm told the form I need is unsupported, meaning CT hasn't updated it or made it available yet. I spoke with CT customer support and was told it is a Turbotax problem, all the CT forms are available.
There are some CT forms that are unsupported for eFile. You can use the link below to see if you have one of those unsupported forms.
Use this link to reference when your tax forms will be available. You can search by TurboTax Product and for IRS and State-Specific Forms.
TurboTax told me that CT requires that it be efiled.
My business return has nothing special, but I get a cryptic message saying that it can't be efiled with no addition information.
