Tax Return Pending

My tax return is still pending after 6 days, what next step do you suggest to resolve this or is there anything happening at the IRS that might explain this?

Tax Return Pending

Some returns take longer than others. Pending simply means that the government hasn't accepted or rejected your tax return yet. Please see the information available here for assistance.

 

When you e-file your tax return, you will receive two emails. The first email only confirms the transmission was received.  The second email will state if the IRS or your state either accepted or rejected your e-file. Please see the information in this TurboTax FAQ that explains in more detail the pending process here.

Tax Return Pending

I filed over a week ago.  Got a rejection email from Turbo Tax but everytime I attempt to review in software it still says pending.  Never updated so I can fix the rejection issue.

 

Any thoughts on why software says pending but email says rejected?

Here is the problem.

 

The email says rejected and directs me to open turbotax software and it will direct me to fix.  Issue is not one place gives me option saying rejected in software.  it just list it as pending and if I check status it states pending.

 

The email says I must open software and will be directed once open in software. but that is not happening.  that is why I am confused.  it will not direct me to fix.

 

I want to fix but it does not allow me to fix.  just keeps telling me pending.  How do I fix if it does not direct me?

If you are using TurboTax Online, you may want to try a different browser or try clearing out your browser's cache and cookies. Please see How do I delete cookies? and How to clear your cache for more information.

Tax Return Pending

I originally filed the initial return on over 3 weeks ago which to this day is still in pending status, and a rejection email was never received.  I contacted support and was instructed to start over and  re-enter the return from scratch correcting the rejection error in the new return.  A rejection email was received but again the desktop software still stated pending.  

 

Again, support was contacted and I was told to use the TurboTax online version or a different desktop version in hopes to eliminate the pending status.  Again, a rejection email was received but the software is still pending and no option to fix the rejected return for error code IND-507.  

 

Once all dependents were removed, it was submitted one last time.  It was noticed, that software would make me click the "transmission" button twice to get it to go through each time.  On the last transmission, I click once and decided to check the efile status and actually got an rejection "fix it" status.  I fixed the error and again a rejected email was received but still in a pending status.  Now I can't even mail it because it states its already been submitted.  How is this problem going to be resolved?  Is there a solution yet?  Could it be rejecting now because it has be redone several even though that was the recommendation?  

Please help!

Tax Return Pending

On  March 17 at 8:53pm,  I completed & eFiled my 2023 taxes in the TurboTax (Home & Business) application;  TurboTax application shows my current status as "pending" for both state and Federal Return.

 

On March 17 at 8:53pm, I received two text messages stating, "..., Your Federal return was rejected" and "..., Your state return was rejected."    

 

On March 19,  the IRS track my return, states, "Refund Status Error," after entering, tax year,  SSN, filing status, & return amount.  

 

Please advise as to how to verify the status of my Federal & state tax return.

You can check that your return was received by the taxing authority  using these instructions: Check the Electronic Postmark of your Return. Pay close attention to the separate lines for Federal and State. They are separate statuses.
