I didnt get mine either. Still says info doesnt match what the irs has on file. Makes no sense. I got my return in February. I know others who received theirs on their Turbotax card too.
It's lookin like I'll be waiting til 2021 when I file 2020 taxes
I tried getting a transcript. They are not mailing out identity verification right now. So that is no help.
Why does it keep saying on get my payment information doesn't match our records when i checked with h&r block who i did mt taxes with laat three years and they said its right information that its the app so will i get my stimulus check then
I am using the info given to the irs for my 2019 tax filing (and i have receaved my refund allready).its the same info they used to garnish my paycheck for back taxes, yet im being told it does not match thier records. How does tjis affect my stimulus payment and how can i correct this matter?
@Super1964 - try some of these hints:
type you address EXACTLY as it appears on your tax return.. Try ALL CAPS
social security number must have the dashes included XXX-XX-XXXX
date must have leading zeros if necessary (e,.g. April is "04" not "4')
I filed my taxes, got my refund..(state and federal)and get my payment still says the info dont match...this crazy....i. At the point now where if i get it
I get and if i dont...oh well
Been there, done that. Downloading a transcript of your tax return won't help. The IRS started truncating personal information on transcripts for several years ago for security purposes.
Is it a sign of Identity Theft?
The IRS tells me my social security number and address do not match their records...is this a sign of Identity Theft?
Or would the IRS have associated TurboTaxes address with my social security number?
If not is this a sign of Identity Theft?
I'm having the same problem. I filed taxes through TurboTax. I got a letter from the Whitehouse using the IRS's return address. The letter said $1200 was deposited into my bank account . My TurboTax NetSpend card, issued by TurboTax, that expires in 4 years, is no longer recognized by mastercard as a valid card. When I call TurboTax they tell me to call greendot and the IRS. Greendot does not recognize the card so they can't help. The IRS is online only. My social security number and address does not match IRS records. Is this because TurboTax filed my tax return at their address, or is this a sign of identity theft?
@WayneBDull - i do not see this as identity theft but maybe a fraud attempt.
some red flags
1) why would the return address say "white house" with the IRS address. I am not aware the IRS is sending out letters
2) certainly many are getting $1200, so that is an educated good guess
3) did the letter specifically mention which bank or was it broad? by law, the IRS was only to use bank account info on file from the 2018 or 2019 tax returns and only from refunds! what made you jump to the conclusion it was from a bank from 4 year back?
4) did the letter ask you to call them? this is the IRS call center number: 1-800-829-1040. what number was in the letter?
5) many are having issues with the IRS portal in that they can't get the address to match the iRS records, so you are just one of many experiencing that

That letter doesn't make sense so I would definitely look into that as fraud. I don't know of any letters being sent out either. There is even a topic on the IRS site that tells people most everything is online only.
You should look at some previous posts and see if any of those suggestions work. Everyone's tax situation is different so you never know.
Also, I just hope we even get a paper check. I was just thinking of the last stimulus back in 2008 and it was a bad situation then too. I've read that millions of people never got it, me included. I was just to young to know any better. I just hope this isn't a repeat.
I just solved this problem for myself. I had the exact same issue. I accessed my 2018 federal return transcript from https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript and used the adjusted gross income and refund info from there, which did not match my Turbo Tax return, and it worked. If you don't have one you will have to create an online IRS account to access your records. I was also able to see that my 2019 return had not yet been processed which is why the 2019 data didn't match either. I was finally able to update my bank info with the IRS so I can receive the stimulus.
Hi Everyone! I've been dealing with similar issues as most who posted here. My issue was: IRS records did not match my imputed info at the window that asks for AGI and return. I did not complete my 2019 return yet and I owed $$ in 2018. I did download my transcript. The transcript info was exactly what I imputed. After days of this and my account was locked for the 3rd time, I used my wife's SSN. The 1st time with my wife's SSN I used the info from the transcript with no luck. I did as someone had suggested and and entered "0" as my AGI and imputed the amount i owed from the transcript. After this, it went through and updated the bank account info! I'm going to check tomorrow with my SSN and hope for the best.
Hope this helps someone!
I e-filed my 2019 return March 7 and got a reply from TurboTax that it was accepted. I carried over my refund to apply to 2020 estimated taxes. When I enter my filing info to enter my bank information to have the stimulus sent to my bank account I get the notice that my information does not match their records. The same applies to my 2018 tax information which I also tried. Can you help? Should I be worried about identity theft?
Thanks much. I got error messages but then i was able to input my bank info into the system after i entered my 2018 tax refund info from line 20a which was 0 . ... I had earlier entered the amount from 19 or 21 which was the amount of the refund to be applied to 2019.
Did you enter 0 for line Amount of Refund which is on your Line 20a for 2018 ? ...That is what NCperson said to do. I did that and then my bank info went through okay. ... I had earlier entered like 723 which was the amount applied to 2019 taxes.
Or line 21a for your 2019 taxes which also should be 0
