Is it a sign of Identity Theft?
The IRS tells me my social security number and address do not match their records...is this a sign of Identity Theft?
Or would the IRS have associated TurboTaxes address with my social security number?
If not is this a sign of Identity Theft?
I'm having the same problem. I filed taxes through TurboTax. I got a letter from the Whitehouse using the IRS's return address. The letter said $1200 was deposited into my bank account . My TurboTax NetSpend card, issued by TurboTax, that expires in 4 years, is no longer recognized by mastercard as a valid card. When I call TurboTax they tell me to call greendot and the IRS. Greendot does not recognize the card so they can't help. The IRS is online only. My social security number and address does not match IRS records. Is this because TurboTax filed my tax return at their address, or is this a sign of identity theft?
