My computer shut down awhile back and I lost my 2020 return and program. When I looked your information said I didn't use turbo tax to do that year. I have used turbo tax since it came out. I'm not ready to do my taxes yet but need to reinstall 2020.

You may need to explain that more. Since you said lost 2020 "return and program", I assume you used the desktop version of TurboTax (CD/download). You said you "looked" somewhere to try to find it, but I'm not sure what that means. Where did you look--are you referring to a TurboTax account that you used last year to download the program?
If you downloaded from TurboTax last year, you should be able to download the 2020 program again if you are in the same account. If you did not download your program from TurboTax last year (or if you are in the wrong account), the downloads section of your account won't have any record of your 2020 program. An online TurboTax account also does not have a copy of a 2020 desktop return. If you DID download the 2020 program from TurboTax, then you may have multiple accounts and logged into the wrong one. We can tell you how to troubleshoot to find the right account if that's the case, once it's clear what your situation is. If necessary, we can tell you how to phone TurboTax Support for assistance in getting the 2020 program.
BTW, if you used desktop 2020 software, you are the only person who could have a copy of the *.tax2020 data file (i.e., the return file) or any 2020 PDF you made. But you should be able to download the program again if you originally downloaded it from TurboTax. If you purchased it elsewhere, report back.

I paid for turbo tax twice last year. Don't want to do the same. I have 4 returns to complete for my family.
When you use Online TurboTax, you get one return per fee. Each return needs its own account and user ID. If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, you overwrite the first one and lose it forever.
When you use Desktop TurboTax, which you install from a CD or download to your own hard drive, you can prepare and e-file multiple returns for the cost of the software. You can e-file up to 5 Federal returns—more if you mail the additional ones. If you have multiple returns to prepare for family members, Desktop is more cost effective.
Desktop --unless you specifically buy federal Deluxe only from a retailer-- will include the software for one specific state. You can prepare as many returns for that state as the number of federal returns you prepare. E-filing state returns is an extra fee which can be avoided by printing and mailing the states. Additional--other--state software is an additional fee for the software.
