I am trying to download the 2021 turbotax premier,I went on the turbotax site last night and was told to start my tax return and I will be billed for the product once I file my tax return. How do I do this without access to the product?

@ryanpapadan   That is for the Online web version not the Desktop installed program.  Did you already buy the Desktop program?

If you bought the CD but want to download it,

There should be a card in the CD case on on the CD envelope that says how to download it and you will need the 14 or 16 digit code from it to enter.

If you want the TurboTax software to install on your personal computer you have to purchase and download one of the 2021 TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/

Apparently you started one of the TurboTax online web based editions.  You can just abandon the online account if you want to use the TurboTax desktop software.

Note - The Deluxe desktop edition and higher includes one free state program download in the purchase price.  It does Not include one free state e-file.  The current charge is $25 to e-file a state tax return using the desktop editions (except New York state which is free).  This e-file fee can be avoided by printing and mailing the state tax return.

You didn't provide much info to go on.  Did you use Online TurboTax, and if so, does the 2021 PDF of your return that you obtain at the Tax Home not have the state return in it?  If that's your situation, in your other thread I provided you an alternative way to get the larger 2021 PDF from inside the return interview at the Print Center.
