I am having the exact same problem and I also got the IRS 2020 Transcript for AGI today and entered the number many times with the same rejection. Major problem at IRS? and no one to solve the electronic/software issue for electronic transfer verification. An endless loop to nowhere. Answer always the same...just send in a hard copy! Not why I bought turboxtax
Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS took a long time to process returns last year so the AGI didn't get entered in the database in time. If zero doesn't work you will have to print and mail your return.

If the 2020 AGI you entered is rejected by the IRS then try entering a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the 2021 return again.
Ah, spring must be approaching: longer days, budding foliage...and alerts from the TT community about the AGI bug. Happens every year. And most of the "solution" posts are wrong. You have options.
This is not an IRS problem; it is a TT bug. In some situations, TT does not transmit AGI info to the IRS properly, and your return is rejected. As some have mentioned, you can try entering zero. If you still get a rejection, you either have to file a paper copy and wait months for your refund, ***OR you can use different tax software.***
I and many others in this situation discovered that the same return efiled with a different product is accepted within minutes. I now use FreeTaxUSA, but others work as well. (But not HR Block; it has the same bug.)
what did you used or you corrected the problem
I took the advice of another subscriber and entered a 0 as the AGI for 2020 when asked to re-enter the number after a failure/s. This same failure occurred in 2019 according to some other posts I read.
It worked using a bogus 0 instead of the real 2020 AGI that I got from the IRS submittal.
Also my state submittal worked just fine after that and got accepted also.
Hope it works for you.
I've just spend hours trying to efile and keep getting rejected saying AGI incorrect. It was correct. Called customer service they said to mail in. Called again, person said try without period at end of AGI amount. Rejected again. Went on IRS to get transcript showing correct amount, same number I had been entering. Rejected again. If I have to print and mail was 40 pages. I don't have enough ink. What is the point of even paying for Turbotax if you have to mail? 3 hours later came here and put in AGI as "0" Accepted! Is this an IRS problem or Turbotax? Someone needs to fix this glitch!
I know I can mail the returns but I paid for a program that allows the efile and I don't think I should have to mail the returns. The efile was convenient, mailing is not.
Im going to try that.
Mine was rejected twice because of AGI not matching their Data Base, so the third time I entered 0 and it was accepted within a few minutes.
Need help with agi saying it doesn't match... But it does
If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2020 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2020 AGI might not be in the IRS system. Try using zero instead.
If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year. The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
I had the same issue today, after entering the AGI from 2020 (a Joint return both in 2020 & this year). Oddly, each rejection said the AGI for my spouse was the issue, never mentioning me. The Intuit app had the correct figure already entered in their window provided for correcting and re-submitting and I tried again, to no avail. I went to the IRS site that lets you view/download recent IRS returns (including my Joint 2020 return), and verified that the IRS data shown on their site has the same figure I'd been entering.
As I was preparing to start the process of mailing my Federal and State returns (the State return kept being Rejected simply because the Federal Return was rejected), and having read a TON of these postings, I decided to try entering a "0" and re-submitting for a 3rd and final attempt. Guess what? It WAS accepted!
Now I can calm down as my anger had risen dramatically, knowing I would be waiting 2 or 3 months (or more??) to get the money back I really need to live on!
Glad you got it to go through, I went through the same process, finally entered "0" and both went through, can hardly wait for next year 🙂
