I am sure that I paid for IDNotify, but now can't find it and when I try to login, it won't accept my login. Did I join or not?

IDnotify is part of the optional Max bundle that you would have selected prior to filing the 2016 tax return using TurboTax.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for the Max bundle - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2924462-what-is-max

See this TurboTax support FAQ for accessing the Max bundle benefits - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2924453-how-do-i-access-my-max-benefits

For IDnotify you should be able to sign onto the IDnotify website using the same userID and password you used to create the 2016 TurboTax online account - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3372443-how-to-login-to-idnotify

If you are unable to access the IDnotify account then go to the IDnotify contact website for assistance - https://www.idnotify.com/contact/

I have the same issue, called IDnotify and was told that TurboTax never enrolled me and stated they don't handle enrollment. Apparently Turbo took your money and did not enroll you into the service you paid for.

Here's how to phone TurboTax Support so they can investigate with you and adjust any fees, if necessary.

Support hours are 5AM-9PM Pacific (8AM-12 Midnight Eastern), 7 days/week

Customer service from Turbotax is terrible. I called to let them know I called IDnotify just to have the agent repeatedly tell me they are not a part of IDnotify (which I'm well aware). Then the agent proceeds to tell me the MAX Benefits does not include ID restoration yet I clearly have the receipt that stated otherwise. The issue IDnotify stated is that Turbotax did not enroll me. Yet the representative stated that the MAX Benefits did not include IDnotify (ID restoration and identity theft protection). Fraud.

These 5 FAQs tell me that Max does indeed include identity services.  I'm going to ask a TurboTax Moderator if they can help you with this.

I've asked a Moderator to look at this thread and your support experience to try to figure out what is going on.

Thank you for helping and involving a moderator! I hope to find a solution soon.

So the only way to access the IDnotify is through an email. What if the email is compromised? Then will the person that has compromised my email now have full access to all of the information in IDnotify??? Would it not be better to have a link that originates from the Turbo Tax login? Perhaps something on the Turbo Section? Put a link at the TOP where I can click it and go to IDnotify. At that point, it can do the SSO to get into the site. At least I have to log in somewhere before taking me to a page that has a lot of info about me instead of something that is embedded a link in my email that does not seem to expire. HUGE Security Loop Hole for something that is supposed to monitor my account and alert me of security issues with my ID.

This is a user community forum of TurboTax users--not a direct route toTurboTax Support--so you're not likely to get much info about IDnotify here, unless you just happen to run across a fellow user who uses that IDnotify product.   And the folks at TurboTax Support may or may not be very familiar with IDnotify, depending on whom you speak to, since that's a different company.    But we can tell you some things to do.

If you are referring to signing into IDnotify from a link in your initial welcome email from them, you can phone IDnotify and ask them if there is another option using the Contact link I provide below.  Once your account at IDnotify is set up, it seems like that at some point you may be able to go directly to the IDnotify website each time and use the log-in interface there to log in like other IDnotify members, but I don't have that product and can't say for sure.    So you need to contact the IDnotify folks by phone (24 hours per day) and ask them.  The contact info is on the following Contact page at the IDnotify website, which shows their phone number:

https://www.idnotify.com/contact-us/

So you can phone them and ask them directly whatever questions you have about their product, logging in, etc.

You'll also see the blue link to the main page of the IDnotify website in this FAQ:

For anyone else still poking around these forums trying to figure out how to log into idnotify, no you cannot log in directly to their site. Try

https://sso.identitymanagementcenter.com/sp/startSSO.ping?PartnerIdpId=sso:imc:90000108 which will take you through TurboTax to sign in. Also for any TurboTax people looking at this thread, if this is a TurboTax-specific login link whyyyyyy is it not linked from anywhere that your users can find it??

All old email links, including the ones posted by others in this forum, now redirect to this forum site.

Additionally, the "Login to you Experian IDnotify Account"  link on the TurboTax website itself ALSO redirects to this forum site!

It seems there is no way to logging to IDnotify anymore....

Thanks for that link. However it does not work, i.e. login credentials for intuit don't work at IDnotifys login page (it's only for direct Experian customers).

Experians IDnotify, as it is included with Intuits TurboxTax Max Benefits, uses a token based login method, meaning you first login to Intuit TurboTax, than use there "special link" to punch out to Experian (using an access token generated by an API script).

Earlier this year, Experian was made aware of security flaw in their API that companies like Intuit use to complete these token based logins. I think Experian must have turned the feature off, meaning login via this method is currently impossible. In the meantime, when you click any of those "special links" in your email or on the TurboTax site, to login to IDnotify (you can see the token generated by API script in the urls when doing so), Experian servers return an error which we don't see because Intuits action on the error is to redirect the user to the forums for support. So it "looks" like all the special links just lead here, but in fact, they are all returning login errors at Experian. The timeline or the API issue also correlates to the last email I recieved from IDnotify (April) - I assume same is happening for all Max Benfit customers since then.

If I'm right in the above, the only solution is for the IT team at Intuit to talk to those at Experian and come up with a solution. Intuits stance is probably that they are waiting on Experian for a fix. Experian probably does not care, probably the least of their concerns...

Unfortunately (and bizarrely), the technical folks at TurboTax likely never review the community forum for any technical issues.   You almost never see an Intuit technical person post in the forum.  About 4 years ago a couple of Mac TurboTax developers would occasionally follow a Mac problem issue, but since then it's been very rare to see a tech employee around.  Granted, I don't see every post, but I see a lot of them--enough to know that I personally do not recall seeing one in a long time.    IMO, designated folks from the tech side should be forced to rotate and look through the forum every few days.

You can talk to TurboTax Support about this issue, if you wish.  You can use this contact form to get a phone number, or it may schedule a callback.
https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact

If you feel that approach through regular Customer Support didn't get you the due attention for this problem, you can launch an official complaint through Intuit as follows:

To contact the Intuit Corporate office, you can go to the page below. Just below the page's large title, you'll see a screen-wide blue banner that prominently says:

"Do you have a question, concern, or feedback about an Intuit product or service?"

There is a "Send an email" link with an arrow.  It goes to a designated person in the office of the president of Intuit, and they supposedly will assign it to the right team for review.

NOTE:  Do NOT send any sensitive personal data since that is regular email--not secure email.
