I changed my phone number and now I cannot sign into my account.  The cell number [phone number removed] was my work cell and I had to turn it in last year when I retired? 

The verification code is being sent to my old number [phone number removed].

To access your account, there is an option that mentions you can verify a different way but it takes longer. Choose this option as it is your only option to gain access to your account. 

Once you are verified and able to access your account, go to the Intuit Account button on the bottom left of your page and then select sign  in and security to change your cellphone number.

You can do an Account recovery which requires an ID and takes a couple days. You can file for Extension of Time to File Your Tax Return or just create a new account and file with it, if your taxes are simple.

Taxes were filed on cell phone by a friend. I would like access to my file on my phone number which is different from hers. Can't get pass security sending six digit code to her phone. What can I do??

You have to know the account and user ID that were used to access the return.

  You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
