I need my son's Social Security number to register flight tickets for an upcoming trip
@Deondavis319 If you have claimed your child as a dependent on your ta return in the past then look at one of your Form 1040's.
You have to access your own account and/or print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !
EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

Need Ainsley grace abolafia ,my daughters social security number
@Gavinabo14 No one in this forum can find out what your child's Social Security number is. If you claimed your child as a dependent on a tax return then you can look for it on a past tax return.
You have to access your own account and/or print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Nobody in this *PUBLIC* user to user forum can get your social security number. Only the owner of the SSN can get it, or the parent of a minor can get the SSN of the minor. Nobody, including TurboTax employees, has access to your personal information. There are several ways you may be able to get a needed social security number.
- School records
- Medical records
- Medical insurance records/claims/payouts
- A previous year's tax return
- An application for any product or service that requires an SSN. Example: Application for life insurance.
- A job application if the minor is old enough to work, and applied for a job somewhere.
- A current employer with whom you have applied for benefits through that employer. Your application and possibly other paperwork related to that, may have the SSN on it you are looking for.
I'm sure there's many other ways I just can't think of right now. But as a last resort you can visit your local Social Security Administration office and apply for a replacement SSN card there. If applying for a minor you can expect to have to prove your relationship to that minor, as well as your legal right to have their SSN. (I.e.; marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.)
How do I get a social security number for my taxes
@JandA2014 Do you mean you do not have a Social Security number yourself---or that you need the number for a dependent you are entering on your tax return? What are you trying to do?
need my son ssn# and i cant find it in mt turbotaxs
@dnate87 Please note the posts in this thread. In this public forum, no one can provide that information. No one at Intuit can provide that information. If you have legal authorization, you would need to contact the Social Security Administration if you need a new card issued, and we could not provide you with any information on the protocol they have to follow before they do provide that information.
@dnate87 If you have claimed your child as a dependent on a previous tax return then his SSN will be on the Form 1040 for that return.

If you cannot find it on a tax return, you will have to get it from Social Security.
