How do I send an email to turbotax?

@Thomas L Manino wrote:

On April 24, 2020, you folks did my taxes and took $125.00 from my checking account.  It was determined that I was to get a Federal Tax Return of $1,626.00.  Today is September 18, 2020, and I have not received a cent of my return back.  I am seventy-one years old, retired and the person who did my taxes told me that I would receive my return in six to eight weeks.

So, what is going on and why was I robbed and lied to by your company.  I can never trust you again.  My bills are getting any smaller as if you cared.

Sincerely,

Thomas L. Manino

TurboTax is do-it-yourself tax preparation software.  No one from TurboTax completed and filed your tax return for you.  Since you used the software it was up to you to either e-file or print and mail your tax return.

Paying the TurboTax online account fees does not file your tax return.

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

Did you do this?

Sign onto your TurboTax online account and the status of your tax return will be displayed - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

What is the status of the federal tax return?

If the status is Accepted then the tax return was e-filed and received by the IRS.

Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.

If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
If over 21 days since being Accepted by the IRS and the tax refund is still Processing you can call the IRS and speak with an IRS agent concerning your tax refund.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.

Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.

How do I send an email to turbotax?

Yes, turbo tas has robbed me too.  On April 24, 2020, they did my taxes and it cost me on that same day out of my checking account $125.00, and as of today, 9/18/2020, I have not received my tax return yet.  The man told me it would take six to eight weeks.  I will NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY AGAIN.  They are not trustworthy.

@Thomas L Manino You never did reply to the answer on your prior post where you were asked if you actually e-filed your tax return and was it accepted by the IRS - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/re-how-do-i-send-an-email-to-turbotax/01/1721931#...

How do I send an email to turbotax?

Hello,

This link is not working for me.  My payment to the IRS was never sent.  When I use this link to get answers, it tells me it cannot help me.  I call into Intuit, and the recording says it cannot find my account and hangs-up.  This is ridiculous!  How do I get an answer to my question???

TurboTax does not send any type of tax payment to the IRS or to a State.

If you selected to pay the federal taxes owed by direct debit from your bank account, the routing and account number you enter is included on the federal tax return that you e-filed to the IRS.

The IRS debits your account after they receive the tax return.

If you selected to pay the federal taxes owed with a check or money order, you needed to print the payment voucher, Form 1040-V, and mail the voucher with your payment to the IRS.

Or you could have paid any federal taxes owed on the IRS payment website - https://www.irs.gov/payments

To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.

What is the status of the e-filed federal tax return?  If the status is anything other than Accepted the tax return was not e-filed.  If you did not print and mail the federal tax return then the return was never filed.

To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

A 2019 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

Print, sign, date and mail the tax return to the IRS.  Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.  Go to this IRS website for mailing addresses - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

You did my taxes on April 23, 2020. it is now 2-5-2021 and I still have not received the $1,626 Federal Refund that you showed that I would receive.  How long does it take?

I paid you $125!

How do I send an email to turbotax?

@Thomas L Manino

Did you efile or mail your return? When? They didn't start opening the mail until June that was stacking up. Back in March the IRS closed their processing centers and stopped processing mailed tax returns.
See this IRS page for the latest information
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-operations-during-covid-19-mission-critical-functions-continue

If you efiled....Was your return Accepted? When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

Then only the IRS can tell you. IRS Where's my refund https://www.irs.gov/refunds/
Make sure you are using the refund amount from your actual federal tax return and not the combined amount Turbo Tax showed you at the end. That was for federal and state combined.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  what does it say?

Don't blame me for the mistakes you make and could care less about your customers as long as you get their money.  It is disgusting that you have treated me and others like dirt.
