Download to a 2nd computer.

I had been working on my 2022 taxes using turbotax premier.  My computer died.  When I try to download the same license to my new computer, I get a message that says the "license has already been downloaded to an account."  My original download was by CD; new computer does not have CD drive.  I was unable to copy the CD to a thumb drive using another computer.  The CD package gives no warning that the CD license number can only be downloaded by CD.

TurboTax expert, please reset whatever needs to be reset or reissue me a license number that can be downloaded to my new computer.  I can give my expert my original license number.  How can I contact such an expert?

Please help me!  Ph: [phone number removed]

Did you use a CD or a Download to install the 2022 TurboTax software on the first computer?

Yikes, please remove your license #!   How did you install it on the first computer?  By CD or download?  And where did you buy it from?

There is a problem if you first installed the CD. It doesn't connect you to an account you can find. You have to call in and ask for the download and a new License Code.

See this FAQ. It says....you can download your software directly from TurboTax. But, keep in mind, you can't use both the CD and the download — you must use or or the other.

Another user posted this. If you have a computer with a CD drive or know someone, you can try copying the CD to a USB flash drive and use that to install the program.

It's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used

Thank you!  How do I remove my license number now that I've made the mistake of posting it?

How can I talk to a Turbo Tax expert that might issue me a new license number that I can download?
