I purchased TurboTax Premier as a download from Amazon. I did my 2023 taxes on the PC with TurboTax. As in previous years it was easy. Then after the tax season my computer crashed. As a result, I lost TurboTax although all my data files are intact after the repair. So I downloaded again from Amazon and inserted the product key. TurboTax tells me the product key belongs to another account. But, that is the key provided by Amazon and it is the key I used when I first installed the product. What is happening here? If I have multiple Intuit accounts I don't know it and I don't know how to find out.

There might be some residual TTX files on your PC that indicate it's still installed.
(Copy your actual tax files first, to a USB flash drive...the following doesn't affect your files...but just in case)
Try the Forced Uninstall procedure first, then try again (just the 2023 directories in the first part of step 5):
How do I forcefully uninstall TurboTax for Windows? (intuit.com)

After you do get it reinstalled and updated, you'll need to start an Initial dummy file to get your state(s) installed, since you won't be able to re-open the older files until the states used are loaded up)
So, I tried a different way. I got out and old PC that had never seen TT or Intuit. I downloaded the TY23 installer from Amazon and installed TT. I opened TT. When I inserted the license code provided by Amazon I got the same message as with all other tries: The license is associated with another account.
