@Nanal As has already been explained in this thread, TurboTax has no control over your stimulus check.

You can call the IRS hotline at 1-800-919-9835 to get updates on your stimulus payment.

Tax Year Prior to 2020: Am I eligible for stimulus package check from IRS?

I live with my daughter now and she wants to claim me as a dependent on her 2020 taxes, so I wanted to know if there is a stimulus package next year will we both get the 1,200 each or do I need to file my own taxes to get mine.

I was married for 40 yrs and been on a joint filling for taxes now I am divorced and need to know how I should file for my taxes for next year. I do not work have no income except my alimony.

Any suggestion on what I should do.

If u r claimed as a dependent  u will not get the 1200.

If uvr having taxes taken out of your alimony then u should b able to file on that income

If there is a stimulus payment available in 2020, you will not be eligible for the payment if you are claimed as a dependent.

Additionally, if your divorce was finalized before 2019 and you receive gross income of $4,200 or more for the year then you cannot be claimed as a dependent.

Are  we eligible for the stimulus package? How much is our tax refund for 2019?

Tax Year Prior to 2020: Am I eligible for stimulus package check from IRS?

@Wilfredv We cannot see any of your information, so we cannot tell you if you  are eligible for a stimulus check or how much your 2019 tax refund (f any) should be.

Look at your own tax return to see what your refund is.

HOW MUCH IS MY REFUND?  DO I OWE?

No one else can see your screen, your tax return or your account. But YOU can see it.

What does it say on the "refund monitor" on the screen?

Look at your Form 1040.  What do you see on line 20?  Line 23?

 Line 20 is a refund

Line 23 is tax due that you have to pay to the IRS

What does the TurboTax summary show you?  What does it say in Tax Home?

What are your fees?  Are you having them deducted from your federal refund?  If so, then do some math.

How can I see my TurboTax  fees?

The IRS can look at your 2018 or 2019 return to issue a stimulus check.  If they do not have a 2018 return then you may be waiting for them to finish processing 2019 before they will be able to use it to issue your stimulus check.

If you used the non-filer site, you will not be able to e-file a 2019 return after using the non-filer site.

TurboTax has no control over your stimulus check, nor can TT track it for you or tell you when the IRS will issue it. Refer to the sites linked below:

Tax Year Prior to 2020: Am I eligible for stimulus package check from IRS?

Hello. I have tried endlessly to call IRS to let them know I have not received any of the stimulus checks. The phone message is “Busy, try again at another time”. I’m thinking it is because they don’t have my bank direct deposit information. Is there any way you can help? Thanks! Sarah

@Dorie1 You filed by mail?

MAILED RETURNS

Per the IRS website IRS Operations During COVID-19: Mission-critical functions continueThe IRS is not currently able to process individual paper tax returns. If you already have filed via paper but it has not yet been processed, do not file a second tax return or write to the IRS to inquire about the status of your return or your economic impact payment. Paper returns will be processed  once processing centers are able to reopen.

If you mail a tax return (or a payment) to the IRS, it is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it like UPS or certified mail so you will know it was received.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.

TurboTax will not know anything about your mailed return, and will continue to show “Ready to Mail” on your account.  TurboTax will not know that you put your tax return in an envelope and took it to a mailbox.  TurboTax does not get updates on mailed  (or e-filed) returns.

When the IRS finally opens its mail and begins to process mailed returns you can check the status on the IRS site. https://www.irs.gov/refunds

State returns have to be mailed to the state.

We did our 2018 and 2019 short forms taxes and haven't received a stimulus check yet. We could really use it as my husband Gaetan J Trudel has been very sick and in and out of the hospital. im 79 and he is 84 years old and it seems like everyone has gotten one but us.

Thank You
