A Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is your Social Security number. Or if you are not eligible for a SS number then it is your ITIN issued by the IRS.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
My social security number is on the form. Everything is filled out the same as it was in my 2018 form. My husband passed away Feb. 2019 and I'm filing as a widow. Is this creating a problem?
