Msg says I need to enter "Amount-Mis Exp Other" on Schedule C worksheet.
What is this and how do I enter an amount?
It appears that you attempted to enter a miscellaneous expense but didn't put an amount for it. This can happen when you have that category carried over from a previous year when there was an amount entered. You can enter $0 for the entry, or review your expense entries in the business section and delete the entry.
I, also, am getting a similar error... I imported my information from my TDAmeritrade accounts electronically, and it appeared to be successful. But late in the game of Smart Check on my Turbotax file, it keeps trying to send me back to Schedule C, saying that I run a small business.. which I do not. I called TD Ameritrade first, and they are saying that that the $600 I received from them for investing more than $50,000 at a time (3 times, at $200 each time) should be called a "promotional award", NOT Business Income. How can I get Turbotax to STOP calling this "Business Income", and how can I change it? PS - I never received a 1099-MISC for these funds.
If you imported from TD then the program picked up the form. You need to delete it then enter it as other income.

Schedule C line B Business Code is a 6 digit number for your activity. Here are the IRS instructions for Schedule C. Business codes start on page 18. If you can't find a code that applies, you can enter 999999.

I need my 1099 2030
Please explain what you are trying to find. TurboTax does not have your 1099 or copies of your 1099. There are over a dozen kind of 1099's.
You do not say what kind of 1099 information you entered or that you are looking for. There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's. A 1099NEC is typically issued by an individual or business for whom you performed work as an independent contractor, so seek a copy from them if you did not save yours. Many of the other types of 1099's are issued by banks, brokerages and other financial institutions from which you can seek copies.

@larryburmeier The last time anyone posted to this thread was in 2022. You have not mentioned what income you entered. If you have a 1099NEC for work done as an independent contractor, that is why you are being prompted to prepare a Schedule C. Even if you think you do not have a "business" if you worked as independent contractor, the IRS considers you to be self-employed and you are supposed to pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare, and prepare a Schedule C for your expenses.
