I looked around on the Costco Website.  On the product screen it says....

I purchased TurboTax Deluxe at Costco for the 2022 Tax season. I have used TurboTax for many years except for last year. My brokerage firm neglected to withhold taxes on the monthly withdrawals of my RMD, so I had to have a local CPA do my taxes last year. I want to do it myself this year.

Yes, I bought TurboTax Deluxe desktop version without the CD and need to download this version. Why does it have to be so difficult?

If you bought the download from Costco then they should provide you the insructions on how to access that download.   If you bought the CD and want to download the program instead of using the disc then follow the instructions in the CD packaging. 

If you downloaded TurboTax directly from an authorized retailer, your license code should be included in your order confirmation. Check your email or your order history. If it’s not there, you’ll need to contact the retailer directly.

If you obtained the TurboTax CD from an authorized retailer, your license code is printed on the front of the insert in your box.

If you bought Turbo Tax at Costco in the store they only sell the CDs in the store.  Did you leave Costco without exchanging the cardboard  for the CD at the window?  People have left Costco without realizing they didn't get the actual CD.  What did you get?  I bought the CD at Costco.   Did you get this package  and tear the strip to pull out the CD envelope?  Then there are instructions on the envelope with the License Code and how to download instead of using the CD.

You can go HERE to download the TurboTax Desktop Software.  When you select the product, it will give you the option of Windows or MacOs for the operating system.  During installation, you will be asked to enter your License Code that you purchased from Costco.
