After I get to the deduction and credits and input all of the information, my turbotax freezes and doesn't let me go back or continue. What can I do about this so that I can finish filing my taxes?

This may be an issue with your web browser. Clear your browsers cookies and cache then reboot your computer. If this does not solve the issue post a reply for additional help.
I have tried two different computers and two different browsers. If freezes during the last item for review. Cannot move forward and file.
One is also a new computer with no internet history.
If you have working in TurboTax on your return and gone from area to area, you might still need to clear your cache.
If you are stuck on a screen or it is blank in TurboTax you may need to log out and restart your computer, then log back in, or try another browser. You may need to clear your cache and cookies. Please see these TurboTax FAQ's for information on how to clear your cache and cookies:

Ok, I have tried on two different computers. Two different browsers, cleared the cookies/caches and rebooted. Nothing has worked. I have five items to fix under the review. I did four out of the five and on the fifth one, it keeps freezing. I just get the spinning circle in the middle of the screen. I can still see all other information.

The turbotax 2019 home and business program would freeze for me every time when we completed personal income, and on multiple persons files. Always in the same place, "done with personal income".
We called turbotax help and they would update the windows 10 machine all the way, clear cookies and run as administrator (right click properties on the desktop icon to set) and alone these would not do it. "Run as administrator" removed our network server from the list of available places to open the files from.
It was then I realized that this f*ing program would only run with files stored locally on C drive or desktop. This is a new change for 2019. We are a normal business that uses a server architecture with automated backup so this is very frustrating to network administrators. (Don't get me started on Quickbooks)
(Solution) Move last years files to the desktop, start new tax returns and import data from last year files, then save to a new 2019 folder on the desktop. So far, this is working.
Hello,
I have the same problem. Turbotax online freezes and spins. I cleared cache and cookies and changed browsers and changed laptops. I am lost.
The TT program is for individual users and is not designed to work on business systems with servers and this year the activation code is needed to keep the program from being used for commercial purposes.
I have been on the phone with Turbo tax support for over 10 hours - 3 different people and the end result is that Turbo Tax recommended for me to use another computer because they could not determine why my computer freezes.
In only one of the cases above, was it clear whether the user was using the "Desktop" software, or the "Online" software. (only the person on a server system, was it obvious they were using Desktop software)
For people using the "Desktop" software, clearing cache or changing browsers is a totally useless action and has nothing to do with the problem. The solution for Desktop software users is usually a Run as Administrator setting. Even when installed as an Administrator, some users, for some strange reason, have an internal setting to make to clear up the situation as follows:
___________________________
.......TTX should only be installed and run as an Administrator.....not in some guest account without administrator privileges...but it's hard to know each person's exact setup.
But even if you did that already, there is an internal setting that sometimes needs to be implemented also.
So...Save your tax file and Exit TurboTax....then:
1) right click TurboTax 2019 icon
2) Select … Properties
3) Select the Compatibility tab
4) In the "Settings" box … check the box to "Run this program as an administrator"
5) Apply...OK...then restart the program and try again
...and make sure you are only creating and storing the tax files on your computer's hard drive, and not on some remote serve, nor on a USB connected drive that is not your main system disk.

This has fixed the problem for a number of "desktop" software users now.
(but if you are using the "Online" software thru a browser connection..I have no other help to offer other than what has already been suggested by others)
I have been told by TurboTax tech support to use another computer. All the standard efforts , clearing cookies, removing and reinstalling, rebooting computer have failed. I have three years of TurboTax and they all freeze at the wait a few minutes window. All of this happened after installing Windows 10 updates in June. HELP ME. Intuit/turbotax does not seems capable
On the"Properties"........ "Compatibility" Tab....did you try checking the box for "Compatibility mode" running the program in compatibility mode for Windows 8? (Don't attempt to use Windows 7 compatibility for TTX 2019, but you could try W7 too for the older TTX software) .
Other than that, and what I already posted about the internal "Run this program as an administrator" at the bottom of the the same Compatibility tab.....I have no other ideas.
My son (<17 years old in 2019), tried filing via the TurboTax web application on Chrome and it kept locking up after "Done entering Income" (or whatever the text was). We tried a different browser (Edge) and same result. I then started doing his taxes on a different computer with the TurboTax 2019 Premier software as I had used that to do my taxes (Itemized this year) with no issues. The software package exhibited the same exact problem as the online application had. This has to be an issue with the software.
Solution: I've moved to a different online software package outside of TurboTax to finish his return.
