How do I update my TurboTax CD/Download software program?
Hi, I followed these steps, and was told my software was up to-date. I've tried restarting the application multiple times to no avail.
Try choosing to mail in your state payment and then visit your state's website or contact your state Department of Revenue for payment options. You can usually pay right on your States website.
If you are still unable to continue and you are using the Online version, please try logging out of TurboTax, clearing your cache and cookies and logging back in and resubmitting. You may also want to try another browser.

I've already paid for the option through TurboTax. Is this a separate payment option? I am still unable to process this, and get the message that "Your Payment Didn't Go Through".
Again, the Program does state that it is restored, "TURBOTAX DESKTOP STATE RETURN CA TAX YEAR 2021 E-FILE". However, when I continue - it says the payment did not go through.
Please advise on how to solution this.

I'm still having issues with this, and have spoken to a number of representatives, who have not been able to resolve this issue. I have already paid the $25 to file California state taxes, and have confirmed it is for the desktop version.

Rinse and repeat, and the payment is unable to go through. I have an Order ID for my charge, but I do not have a confirmation number. The dialogue seems to confirm that the payment is recognized, but will not register on the application. Please help!
I am having this exact same problem. I received an e-mail from Intuit that my State E-filing fee was received, and I have confirmed that my credit card was charged, but I am stuck in the same cycle of screens described above.
I'm glad that I am not alone, but unfortunately I have not been given a resolution. I now need to mail my return, which is not something that I wanted to do.

Unfortunately I have also been unable to find a solution even after searching the Intuit site and talking to a support rep.
I am just about to print and snail mail my State return.
Next step will be to see if I can get my $25 back, but the time required to attempt that may not be worth it.
Same here. Both my bank and Turbo tax order history show the $25 payment but the app just comes back with "you're payment didn't go through". I just found out I can e-file with my state (PA) directly for free.
