Where is my refund
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
I live and work in the Washinton, DC area not in West Virginia. My husband is ill and I need this money for medical bills please!!! help me find my return. Rose M Hawkins. PLEASE
All refund inquiries must go to the IRS or State. TurboTax is a tax preparation platform. Once your return has been accepted by the IRS TurboTax is no longer involved in processing. TurboTax is not informed of your refund status or any adjustments. If 21 days has passed since you filed your return you can use the Where's My Refund link below.

Are you asking about a STATE refund; i.e., the title of this thread? You said help find your "return", but I presume you mean help with a refund, not a return. If that's not correct and you DO need to actually find the tax return you prepared, then please clarify what the issue is, and was it prepared in Online TurboTax or desktop software?.
Some states are fairly quick with refunds, while other states can take a long time processing returns--even several weeks--as they crack down on detecting fraudulent returns or cope with staff shortages due to Covid, etc. You may be able to get an idea about how long it takes in your state from the FAQs at your state's tax agency website as I will mention below.
Of course, you first need to be sure it was successfully filed. Here's how:
If you efiled, be sure your efiled state return was accepted. If you used Online TurboTax, you can check by looking at the Tax Home in your Online account.
Or did you choose to file by mail instead? TurboTax does not mail it for you. If you chose that method, you have to print, sign, date, and mail it.
The FAQ below tells how to check on a state refund and has a link for your state.
TIP: While you're at your state's tax website, also look for a statement or FAQ that may say about how long it takes to get a refund in your state and how to long to wait before phoning the state tax agency. Many states have such information on their websites.
If you're asking about a Washington DC return, in the FAQ below look for the link for "District of Columbia (DC.}"

Can you please provide specific details about your state return? Did you receive a notice from your state regarding what the error in your return is?
To clarify, please don't include any personal information, only what issue you are experiencing with your state return.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?
Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund. Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
