Im being audit for 19 and 20 how can i pull them up to see what i put as answers to all the questions turbo tax asked, i need to see the answers i put

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

 Another option is to use the amendment program so you can see all the input screens. Just don't mail in the amended return.

If you want to see the questions and answers for a prior year Online return,  you would need to download the .tax2019 and .tax2020 files from Online and open it in the Desktop programs.

1. Sign in to your TurboTax account
2. From your Tax Home, scroll down to Your tax returns & documents
3. Select the year for the return you want to download, then select Download .tax file in the right column

You can only get the Desktop program for the last 3 years. 2021 is now the prior year and may be locked while they get ready for next year so you may have to wait to download the .tax2021 file. If you paid for the Online version you can ask for the Desktop download. You need a full Windows or Mac computer to install the program.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
