So they don’t see it’s been sent until the fifth day

If the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool at https://www.irs.gov/refunds says the funds have been sent, it says to allow up to 5 days due to variations in bank processing times. If it's been 5 days, then here's something else you may be able to check:
Did you have any TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of the Federal refund? If so, the funds go first from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest of the funds on to your bank (or card.) The company that handles that is SBTPG (aka TPG or Tax Products Group.) If you used that method to pay fees, and if the IRS has actually released the funds, you can log in to the refund lookup tool at SBTPG to see the status of your funds.
To log in to their refund tool, choose the "For taxpayers" portal at SBTPG's website:
https://www.sbtpg.com/
If you did NOT use that method to pay any TurboTax fees, then the above will not apply to you.
Trying to find my refund was sent out May 4but haven't received.
Who can I talk to about my refund
Did you choose to pay your TurboTax fees from your federal refund? If so, the refund goes first to the third party bank.
Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.
You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

The bank would have rejected your direct deposit and sent the refund back to the IRS if the account number was not correct. The IRS will then mail the refund check to the address on your tax return.
The IRS says my 2021 tax refund was direct deposited in my bank on 04/25/2022 but the bank hasnt received it. I would like to know where the refund was sent?
My bank has been checked by me and has not received the irs refund that was supposedly direct deposited on 04/25/2022. I need to know where the refund was sent and cant get an agent to answer that question. I ned Turbo Tax to help.

Does the following IRS "Where's My Refund" tool say your refund was sent, and you never received it?
If the IRS WMR tool at that link says your refund has been sent electronically, then where the funds go first depends on what you chose for your refund option. Look at your return PDF and view a page called Electronic Filing Instructions, and that should show you what your refund choice was.
Here are some possibilities for where the refund went:
NOTE: It's also possible to have more than one of those situations if fees were paid out of the Federal refund (option 2). For example, a filer might have chosen situations 2 and 3, or 2 and 4.
Where's My Refund says my Direct Deposit was sent to bank on March 30, 2022 but I have checked account repeatedly and gone to bank but no refund has been deposited, It has been over 5 months.

Did you request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund?
If so, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

If you did NOT request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund, then you need to have the IRS put a trace on your refund if it has not been direct deposited to your bank account.
Go to this IRS website for how to initiate a trace - https://www.irs.gov/faqs/irs-procedures/refund-inquiries/refund-inquiries-0
When it says released to the bank is it going first to this bank then to my bank? It says on Where's my refund that it was released to the bank so I am just trying to figure the channels before it gets to my bank. On the site above it says that nothing has been refunded. Help
