Thanks, Omarion.
I filled out something with the attorney general. We'll see what happens.
With my work schedule, I can't call SBTPG every day. I'm not always available to answer the call-back. But I'll call again as soon as I can.
Below is the response I just got from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. So now I await a response from the FTC.
"We referred your complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.
We reviewed your complaint and weren't able to forward it to the company for a response either because the company is not on our complaint system, or because we do not currently handle complaints about this product or issue.
We also entered your complaint into the Consumer Sentinel Network, a secure online database operated by the Federal Trade Commission. Civil and criminal law enforcement authorities worldwide, including Consumer Financial Protection Bureau investigators, use the Consumer Sentinel Network to identify questionable business practices that may lead to investigations and prosecutions.

Options to consider
The CFPB can't give legal advice or represent individuals in legal matters. For additional help you can contact a private attorney. Or, contact your local legal aid office to see if free or low-cost legal aid is available to you. Visit the Legal Services Corporation website at lsc.gov to see what's available in your area."
Guys the rep I just talked to said the $30 fee doesn't apply to us
Interesting! Any related info they told you as far as waiving the fee? Is it done automatically or do we have to do something? Sorry if you didn't get that info yet but I'm sure we'd all love to look into it more..
The form I received says the following. "I understand I will be charged a service fee of $30.00 for the reissurance of a stale dated check (180 days & older). If this is not a current year check, the processing time to re-issue a new check could take up to 90 days."
They're only charging if your check is 180 days old or more so my check was printed on 2/28 so I'm good.
The lady was really nice and helpful. She even waited on the phone with me until I got the form she emailed me and told me once they receive my notarized form that it will take 2-3 business days to re print the check and then 7-10 business days after.
Lost,. Call your local news station. In Chicago we have "Channel 7 i team" they investigate stories like this and get positive results.
I had my refund to the south 3/5/22.
I called everyday when money didn't go into account. When the said they mailed it and I kept getting different answers from different Reps.
I started making online Complaints immediately and got in call que 3 times a day untill my refund arrived in the mail. 23 days later.
Please tell EVERYONE!
I have a class action suit against them since 3/4/22. Here’s the deal and people need to know. The “7-10” days until your check arrives is a HUGE lie. The average days it takes is 23. So don’t give them more money and file the form they ask you to file to reissue the check. It costs another $30 and then once again, it’s “7-10” business days. Just wait it out and join our suit!
You keep saying 23days I’ve been waiting 40 so that 23 days is not accurate
Yep and I've been waiting 28 days. Idk what to believe anymore. The form clearly says they're not charging 30 for us only if it's been 180 days
Well... the USPS responded. All mail meant for my address has been delivered.
So my check (mailed 3/8) is taking the scenic route, was mailed later than they said, or has not yet been mailed. I'll keep waiting and keep trying to get someone to help me.
Goodness.
Wow. I just read through 33 pages of this. Unbelievable. My return was supposed to be DD on 4/6. When I check the SB website it says a check was sent, doesn't provide a date. Why on earth would they send a check and not just send it to my bank act? I know my act info was correct because I got my MA state return weeks ago.
I'm on business day 24 (check sent 3/11). So I guess I should get it any day now?
I hope so...usps says I have another piece of mail being delivered that wasn't scanned so we shall see.
So when I call mine says "bank check pending", does that mean they haven't sent it out yet? It said the IRS gave them my $ on 4/1
