You work for a bunch of crooks.  Like EVERYONE in this community, regardless of if they’ve FINALLY got their checks, we’ve all had the same problem with you and TPG TAX CROOKS. We’ve all been lied to over and over and it’s absolutely NOT acceptable. Yesterday evening was the 13th time on the phone with TPG and once again I was lied to until I begged to not be put on another two hour hold and to please hear me out.  They gentlemen did and I explained and read countless comments in this community to him.  I think I cracked him because he finally gave me some soft spoken information about this company, explaining what is going on.  His words were as follows.  “Sir, I do understand what’s being said and I’m very sorry.  I’m sorry that this company has lied to so many people and it’s putting a lot of stress on it’s employees as well.  Many of us (employees) are tired of reading off a script to tell you want you want to hear as far as when checks will arrive. The company doesn’t want anyone to know the truth because they screwed up and are covering their tracks.   Sir, there was a major glitch in the system that caused millions of checks to be printed incorrectly  That’s why some bank are asking those who deposited the checks they did receive to reach out to the company to make sure the money is available and linked to those checks……” And on and on he went with information.  I explained we all have been told so many different dates and their all lies.  He explained that it was caused by this glitch.  He ASSURED me my check would arrive today but after checking my “Informed Delivery “ from USPS, my check won’t be here today again (day 10 or day 20 including the weekends). I asked what happens if it doesn’t come and he said I’d have to call back in and let them know.  They’ll then request a void to the current check (which will take and additional 24-48 BUSINESS hours) to be approved and another 24 hours to have a new check printed and mailed. After that step, it’ll take another 10 days to receive my check.   This is  unacceptable to me.  I ask that everyone that’s in this situation and community with me to file a complaint with the ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE in your state and San Diego California where the company is located.    I wish you all the best of luck that you get your check today.  

Also, if available in your state, get the USPS APP on your mobile phone and enroll in INFORMED DELIVERY so you can see what mail is coming today for any day before it arrives in your mailbox.

Update to my previous comment in this community.  I signed up with USPS APP to get the “Informed Delivery” of mail coming to my house and it shows the check arriving today when I was told many many times that it was mailed on March 2,3,4,8 and so on.  Well, here’s proof that this company lies to the very customers that keep this business running.  After the complaint to local and California ATG’s offices, they actually mailed my check the day after my complaints. My complaint was also attached to and sent with others complaints to turbo tax and TPG. I think with the statements of the customer service rep who was embarrassed by his own company’s negligence, my truth gained some motivation to get to TPG.   As y’all can see, it wasn’t mail until 3/18/22.  I can also see that they never took their fees for processing my taxes and check. Hmmm?  

Yesterday I called at 11 am and it rang busy for over 3 hours.  I finally got through around 2 :15 pm and chose option 1 to receive a call back.  They didn’t call back until 7:20 pm just to say “we’re sorry but our system is updating so please call back in 1 hour,” so I did just to sit in hold until they closed and never able to speak to a representative.  Just because I’m getting my check today, doesn’t mean that I’m done with these people.  They must be held accountable and I’ll be here to ensure they are.   I wish you all the best of luck and keep fighting for TRUTH.

Thanks.   You called ATG in California.   Is that the Attorney General office?     They have had my refund since March 5th.  Telling me the same lies that it's mailed.

This is my response to the automated response their giving to us. Please share this !

Me to TurboTax:
Thank you for your time in trying to help resolve the issues with my missing refund. At this time, it is still missing. Sent to TPG on 2-24-22. Speaking with Jeremy, It was discovered that there was an account number error. As per, the IRS and TPG websites a bank check should have been issued and sent out. Either by the IRS if the funds were returned to them, or by the TPG bank. Regardless of the account number error. The IRS is not responsible once it has been deposited and will not intervene. Unless TPG sends it back to them, it will become a civil matter. I will have to sue the bank for my refund. Years, time and more money on my part. TurboTax needs to do something. It is their bank. I have called TPG several times. Starting Back in February to the current date April13,2022. I even stayed on the phone for 2 hours before I was hung up on by the customer service line. Still no response to emails. Your continued help in this matter is most beneficial not only to me, but the thousands of other taxpayers who have used TurboTax and are going through this debacle..

This is directly from the TPG website.. Still have not received a bank check. Supposedly sent out 3-16-22 It does not take a months to receive a check through the mail. Please contact your bank to find out where the refund is.
 
Kerri Smith <[email address removed]> 7:50 AM (9 minutes ago) to TurboTax I have been waiting for my refund since 2-24-22. I have been told or given misleading information as to when I will receive it by TPG on numerous occasions. Starting back in February when I was notified that my refund was on the way to the current day of April 13, 2022. At first, it was supposedly direct deposited. I called TPG and found out that there was an account number error. I was told that a paper check was sent out 3-16-22. Still have not received it. I have called several times. Sat on a phone for 2 hours and was hung up on. No reply to emails. I have been informed via an automated voice system that a BANK CHECK was mailed out. Contradictory to what Jeremy told me on April 8, 2022 when I contacted TurboTax. Jeremy at TurboTax tax said that it is an IRS issue. It is not an IRS issue and TPG does not send out paper checks. The TPG bank has not sent the refund back to them. The IRS is not responsible for this debacle. It is the bank that TurboTax has hired to send the refund money. So, again I am asking for help in this matter regarding the whereabouts of my refund. It's your bank, it should not take almost 8 weeks to get my refund.. Who do I need to reach out to to get this resolved? Media, social media, my State Representatives and Senators. The Federal Level... Help find and retrieve my refund..

I have emailed them over 20 times with no response. I have spoken to 1 representative at TPG. They told me that a bank check was sent out.

Unfortunately if TPG is not answering phone calls and emails, who do we contact? What is the next level or the next entity to get this resolved?

***  I was finally told that TurboTax will not do anything more on my case and that I am to call SBTPG until I get an answer. TT gave me the wrong phone number to call them and I was told that it might have to go to civil case and ( wink, wink) what the bank is doing is Fraud.
Spent another 4 hours on the phone with SBTpG with no response, sent 5 different emails with no response.
I have contacted my State Representatives and Senators with no response
I have filed a complaint with the BBB - With no help
Contacted the IRS, with no help- not there issue. Monies were sent out
I also understand that TT is not responsible for the delay, but it is bad business that the bank that they have hired to represent them is doing this to their customers.

Lost,.    Call your local news station.    In Chicago we have "Channel 7  i team"  they investigate stories like this and get positive results.

I had my refund to the south 3/5/22.  

I called everyday when money didn't go into account.  When the said they mailed it and I kept getting different answers from different Reps.  

I started making online Complaints immediately and got in call que 3 times a day untill my refund arrived in the mail. 23 days later.

I have been waiting on my check from Sbtpg since February 29th this is when they told me it was in the mail as of today it has been over a month since  Sbtpg received my refund from the irs does anyone have any advice on where to file a complaint next ?

File a Online Complaint with the Comptroller of Currency.     I wonder if the I.R.S can issue us another Check if Original haven't been cashed. Smh this is crazy.  I've been waiting since March 5th

I use turbo tax for several years, several!!!!! and this will be my last one for sure. You financial Institution I will say hold peoples payment until who know. I been calling for 2 weeks and they keep changing the date that my paycheck was mailed, and of course is not a tracking number. The fist date i was giving was 3/1 then 3/2, last week was 3/15. They put me on hold for 10 mins a the time and take 45 mins to get the same confusing information. TURBOTAX washed their hand saying "I'm sorry we cant help, we do our part" you will have to contact TPG.  We depend in our tax money to keep us a float for the follow up months, pay past due bills, health issues and this people don't have the decency to provide the right information. Never again. Now they suggest me to complete a "Indemnity Bond" form, to investigate my disappeared check and will take up to 90 days.  Single mom, 3 kids, taking care my elderly mom. Is no answer that I can received that will help me to get my money faster. People like this should not be in business.  21 days and no check.

Exactly I agree with you 100% I have $13,000 dollars missing in thin air. Bills need to be paid I was in the process of buying a house. Lost the house because they playing round with my check. Promised my kids Disney and new things and birthdays and things coming up. This is ridiculous and its becoming annoying to the point I’m going to fly to California and wait by they P.O. Box to see who picks up they mail because this needs to be dealt with

Has anyone received the check in the mail yet? Same thing with me. My bank rejected it 2/24 and it shows cashier’s check on the website but no date. I haven’t gotten in contact with anyone and everyday the date it was mailed out does change. It’s been 4 weeks for me now.

Tell me about it. Best thing to do is be optimistic and take as much proactive action as possible in securing the check. I’m going to my PO Box Monday to check if it’s there. I’ll update then! Best of luck to everyone.
