Where do I find the License code number to open Turbotax 2020 that I downloaded from Amazon?

It should be in the information given to you by Amazon.  Look at your order information in your amazon account.

Have reviewed Amazon order, there isn't any mention of License code number.  Can not get a reply from Amazon on my question? Now what do I do? Turbotax tells me to go to Amazon?

You bought the download from Amazon.  But did you try the TT link given to you?  Did you use this part:

I was just having this same issue, but I just figured it out. So I thought I'd share in case you are still looking for an answer. Go to Your Account; then Digital Games and Software (under Digital Content and Devices section at the bottom middle); your TurboTax purchase should show there under Downloads and Codes; the license code will be the 16 digit code next to "Activation Key". Hope this helps! 🙂

@jeanny1111 If you purchased the download software from Amazon, the license code should be included in your order confirmation. If it’s not there, please contact Amazon support directly.

They don't include the license code in your order details...which makes no sense to me! But I was able to find mine after searching all over Amazon, so here is step-by-step to hopefully help you locate yours. 🙂

- When you log into Amazon, at the top right it will say "Hello, <your name>" with Accounts & Lists below that. Hover over this;

- When the pop up menu comes up, click "Account";

- Next, in the middle of the screen, you'll see a section called "Digital Content & Devices". Select the link for  "Digital Games & Software" from this section;

- That will take you to your digital downloads. Here you will see your TurboTax order. There will be a 16 digit Activation Key. This is your license code.

i did the same purchase but i found the code in the digital downloads section of amazon. However my code won't work and it keeps asking me to now pay again on filing., HELP. I filed extension as a result but have spent 2 hrs trying to figure out to no avail

no i have not been able to get code from amazon site to work for this, now had to file extension although done yesterday and ready to file. DONT BUY THE AMAZON WAY! it wont accept and now I am having to fight amazon for $$$ back and they are pushing me to call turbo tax but they said its not a problem on the site, its a code problem . Now told NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGE  SCAM

@Orfifelli635 You said it wants you to pay when you are trying to file.....that suggests that you accidentally used online software instead of using the CD/download you purchased from Amazon.   You were supposed to download the software and enter your license code at the beginning of the process.....not at the end.

We see people get confused and they keep logging in to online software which will require them to pay at the end.   You need to use the desktop software.   One way to tell if you are using the right software---your tool bar.   Online software has the toolbar in a black vertical column on the left side of the screen.   Desktop software has the tools up on the top of your TT screen.

 If you are using online, you are using the wrong program.  You need to switch to the desktop software to get what you paid for.  You have to download it, update it and open it up from your own hard drive to use it.

Where is the License code to open Turbotax 2024 that I downloaded from Amazon?  They sent a Product code instead.
