IRS is working on several forms. Once those forms are available you will, most likely, not encounter any errors on your return. Most forms will be ready by the February 12 date.
I tested other softwares today to see if they had issues. Hrblock and taxact didn't even ask me about my 2019 earned income. Jackson Hewitt (its not free to file with them) did ask me and then when I tried to fill out for New York State, it said they aren't accepting efile at this time. They are still updating there software. So maybe its not an issue with my Federal return, its my State return holding me up. I always file both together on turbotax.
Many of the IRS forms are not available at this time and that includes some state returns. Once those forms are available, they will begin to work and you will be able to process those returns in TurboTax. Most updated forms will be ready by February 12, 2021.

Thank you! 😊
Hi, has anybody that has encountered the same issue successfully E- filed?
You will click on Review and get a message explaining why you cannot efile. Then you need to see it it is something that you can correct to make your return eligible for efiling. \
Most of the time there will be a solution and you will be able to efile. In some cases that message appears when a form is not yet available and you just need to wait until the form is available to efile.
I still can't efile. And I'm not getting anything showing on the review page as why. Especially when the irs said I can.
You could be receiving this error if you have forms that aren't yet available. The government is still finishing up certain forms. Please see the FAQ provided below for IRS forms availability: If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you need to run updates. TurboTax Online should have the updates automatically. If you do that and the form still isn't available, then it has not been released at the projected time. The dates shown are projected, but not guarantees.

My forms are all available. I took off using the earned income from 2019 and it gave me the option to efile. But then I lose out on a bigger refund. Also since I prepared the tax return with software I have to efile my state return and i cant unless I efile the federal. I wish when I talked to 2 different reps at turbotax and 1 rep at irs that everyone was on the same page.

Not all forms can be e-filed. If the Federal cannot be e-file the you can mail both Federal and State. There is no state that requires e-file if the tax software does not support it.
Then why do I have this?
You did not look far enough. In this case your software does not support e-file.
Also many people do not have broadband internet which is 25MB or higher.
Well turbotax does support efile and I have fast internet so you don't know what I'm talking about. This whole issue was with the new tax law to use 2019 earned income in this tax yr and if anyone successfully efiled it. The irs said it can be efiled.
Not for all forms. Some forms cannot be e-filed - the IRS is not provide for it. What form is it?
The EIC "look back" certainly can be e-filed. I do not know of any issues with it.
I suggest contacting customer support to look at your issue.
