I tried the CD. I kept asking me to drag the icon to the application folder.  So I trashed all that and went to the download.  That went faster.  But it verified and then went into  Extracting data and is stuck

Old PC crashed/hacked.  Tried to load TurboTax Home & Biz to new PC.  Stops loading half way thru.  Need data from 2020 return.  Can't load old tax return.  Need worksheets that I did not print out.  Can you help?  Thanks.

CD loads but will not download last year's return from the internet or my flash drive

If you used the online version last year and need to transfer your info to this year's Desktop version there are 2 ways depending on what you have.

1.  If you saved the actual .tax2021 file (not just the pdf file) to your computer before online was shut down in Oct. then start a new return  and the very first thing you do is Transfer from .tax file.  You can only transfer at the very beginning.  You should be able to download the .tax2021 file from Online.  See this to download the .tax data file, the second section on how to get the data file from the prior year.

2.  If you didn't save the .tax  file to your computer or lost it,  there is a way to do it by starting a 2022 return in the Online version, transfer to that and then continue in the desktop version.  You won't have to pay for Online.

My 2024 Turbo Tax Advantage will not download.  I receive an error, "this APP can't load on my PC.  I have used CD's in the past.  This is the first time I have had to do an online download.

What is the file extension of the download?  If you are using a Windows based PC then the file extension should be .exe.  If the download has a file extension of .dmg that is for a Mac computer and will not run on a Windows PC.
