I bought a TurboTax at Costco for $35. Asked if the CD could be used on Chromebook and was advised that yes, It was compatible. Read the label to make sure. Info on Package Alluded to “yes”, compatible. Long story short! No, it does not work on Chrome. Lost my 35.00 dollars because I misplace my receipt for Costco. Why is Turbo tax still selling these CDs at store when it can be easily downloaded on any device? Hummm, is a simple money making tactic?
No I don't think you can install the Desktop program on a Chromebook, not the CD and not the Download. Does it run a full version of Windows? Where does it say you can?

i have downloaded both mac and pc/windows on to my chromebook and both are not compatible. what can i do so I can download a compatible version? I purchesed intuit turbotax deluxe from a store. Pease help me out.

You will need to convert your purchased Download version to Online, since the download version isn't compatible with a Chromebook. To do this, please see the Help Article here.
Sorry you can not install the Desktop program on a Chromebook or Samsung or any tablet or Android.
You need a full Windows or Mac computer to install Turbo Tax. You can't apply the Desktop purchase to the online version. They are separate things and don't talk or sync to each other. You would have to get a refund for the Desktop CD/Download program and pay for online separately.
If you can't install the Desktop program, you can use the Online version.

@harrellbc Sorry---a Chromebook cannot support the desktop software from the CD/download. It does not make a difference whether you try from the actual disk or from a download. You just cannot use it on a Chromebook. You need a full PC or Mac.

Don’t forget your state. And you will have to print and mail your returns. So be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
can't use my chromebook and I want a refund. I called customer service several times to talk to someone live but kept getting disconnected everything. I have been trying to resolve this issue since November 28th . Please help me I'm very frustrated. It should not be so difficult to talk to someone about an issue with your product.
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”
