Why is the download not available after telling me that it is?

I received an email to my account [personal info removed] saying that my TurboTax 2017 was ready. So I clicked download, which brought me to your website, where I updated the info I was asked, but then no download is available. And it says no program is associated with my account, which is not true, because I've had the auto purchase program for several years now. Please help! Thanks.

Why is the download not available after telling me that it is?

Is there any message when you try to retrieve it?  If you are getting an actual message that it is "not available for download", it could be this known issue that some Advantage members are experiencing:

If that's not your issue, then here's how to look for your download.   If you don't see your download in your account at all, and especially if you don't see your previous downloads from prior years, then you may have multiple accounts without realizing it, which is common.

The email address you received your notification at is not necessarily the User ID for the account.  You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes. A User ID does not have to be an email address.  It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all. 

First try to retrieve your download here:

https://shop.turbotax.intuit.com/commerce/account/secure/login.jsp?pagecontext=download

If the download file isn't there, then look to see if you have multiple accounts (User IDs), and if the download might be in another account.  To get a list of your User IDs and recover account access, you can use the tool at the link below.  Try using your phone number first.  If necessary, then try each email address you can access.  Once you know all of your User IDs, then try each one at the download link I provided above.

NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

If still no luck after running that on your phone number and each email address you have, then run the tool yet again, but this time choose the small blue link that says "Try something else" , and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters

@hubailey Oh no---you just posted your license code for your software download to the whole internet.  Someone else could get hold of it and use your code for software YOU paid for.
