It's not clear which of these 2 situations you are experiencing:

Did you recently install desktop TurboTax, and at the end of installation are you having trouble with the activation screen not displaying completely (blank or partially blank) so you haven't been able to enter the license code at all?  

Or was the activation screen normal, and you were you able to enter the code, but after that it wouldn't complete activation, such as an Internet connection issue to the activation server?

 

If you are using the Windows version, a blank or partially-blank activation screen may be related to either a screen resolution or scaling problem in your Windows settings.

 

In Windows 10 to get to the scaling or resolution settings click the Windows start button in lower left corner, then choose Settings (gear icon), then System, then Display.   Or for a shortcut, you may be able to simply right-click on an empty area of the main Windows desktop monitor screen (not the TurboTax program screen) and in the popup menu choose "Display settings".

 

First try the scaling setting.  In your Windows Settings do you have scale set to a higher value than the normal 100%?  If so, change it back to 100%. Once the license code is entered and activated, you can later change your scaling setting back like it was.

 

If lowering the scaling to 100% didn't help, then it may be screen resolution.  Try a lower screen resolution such as 800x600.   If that doesn't work, then try 1024x768.   Once you get the license activated, you can revert your resolution setting back like it was.

This is desktop software. Yes, I am referring to the License Activation code. No I could not find the code and I was given  one when I contacted Intuit. I obviously put in the wrong numbers because it is now telling me the right number is not valid

This is the only post I'm seeing for you in this forum under that profile name.     But in any case, if the new code you were provided by Customer Support is not working, then you'll need to talk to them again.

I'm not finding any other post where you've described your issue, so if you are having some kind of problem, we don't know what roadblock you are encountering.    Do you get to the end of instatllation, and are you getting a blank activation screen, or a partially-blank screen, or what?    Or do you enter the license code, and it doesn't connect to the activation server?

Are you using the Windows version or Mac version?

I have a CD and an license code.  I downloaded...the system told me I need to update my Windows platfform, I did that to Windows 10 but now can not download again.  Telling me the code is not valid

So you don't still have the installation file you downloaded the first time, or it won't accept the code at the end of installation?

If you did a major OS upgrade, you'll likely need to phone Customer Support for assistance.

It often takes more than one word to ask a question in the forum, but I'll take a guess.

 

Are you referring to the 6-digit email verification code that some users are asked to enter when efiling? 

If so, be sure the code is not ending up in your email's spam/junk folder or another email address you have.   See this FAQ on some tips, which also includes info on how you can change the email address in Account Settings, if you wish to use another email address.

I downloaded Home and Buisness which I always use..Got the License Code, carefully copied it and also copied with my curser(?) so I could paste it....

None of it seems to work for me

You didn't say what happens when you enter or paste in the code.  Does it fail to proceed after that, or does it produce an error message that says the code is invalid/not recognized?   

 

If you enter the code, and then cannot proceed, we may have some additional suggestions in this user forum.  Are you using the Windows version?

 

On the other hand, if you are getting a message that TurboTax thinks your code is invalid, here's how to reach Customer Support on Monday:
