I did prepare my tax return as if I was not claimed & received a email stating I was claimed on another's tax return. I have been homeless for 15yrs & have never given anyone permission to claim me, due to the fact I have supported myself on the streets. So someone has obviously claimed me fraudulently & I can provide any documentation you may request to provide proof. I also have not to date received any phone call from the IRS, only the email stating someone claimed me. Please advise me of further requirements to clear this matter.
Thank you forr your time!

The IRS never calls. A call would be a scam. Since your return rejected the IRS never got it. You will have to print and mail your return now.
It could also reject if you signed up on the IRS non-filer tool to give the IRS your Direct Deposit Info for the Stimulus Check.
As noted above, your only course of action is to fill out your return as if you were not a dependent, then print and mail your return.
The IRS will notify both you and the other party to see who has the right to your personal "exemption". Note that the IRS will not tell you who the other person is.
But if you can't figure who did it, then claim Identify Theft (see above) so that you can be issued an ID PIN for next year, without which your returned cannot be filed (so, only by you).

Where do I apply
What do you want to apply for?
TurboTax also has another free product called the Free File Edition (not to be confused with the regular Free Edition). It has free Federal preparation and free State preparation. There is no efiling fee. It is not available after October 15
The Free file Edition can handle a 1099-MISC.
The Free file Edition is more fully-featured than the regular Free Edition. The Free File Edition can prepare Schedule A, C, D, E, and F that the Free Edition cannot.
For Free File Edition a user needs to meet only ONE of these qualifications:
The FREE FILE Edition is located at:

Yeah, good luck with that! Its been over a month and a half and I followed instructions on what to do. I had a former roomate covertly use me as a dependant and freefileforms reports rejected because of it. I used turbotax and the instructions they gave for this SEEMED to work, as it said they had accepted my return. Yet both sites ( turbotax and the IRS ) have conflicting info! Why is there not an option for example if I get a rejected status I can check a box or something saying "dispute being claimed as a dependent" so they person that did the dirty deed has problems. NOT the one who got ripped off!

That may be a question for you to ask Congress or the IRS. TurboTax does not make up the tax laws or the tax return forms, or the procedures for you to e-file and get your return accepted by the IRS.
What am I to do? I followed turbotax instructions for my situation and the advice was helpful. Turbo Tax no longer said I was rejected, it actually said I was accepted now. However the freefileforms irs site when I check status still reports rejected and the cause. I'm feeling that there's is the more accurate of the two as it has been almost two months now and everyone I know got theirs direct deposit, 15 to 20 or so days FROM the time of an accepted response.
What is your status on TurboTax? If it is accepted, it is at the IRS. You can only get one tax return a year accepted and if your return shows accepted through TurboTax, it won't show accepted anywhere else. @vamtheanomaly
And if it accepted, use the Where's My Refund link on that page to track it. Only the IRS knows anything about any ''accepted'' returns.
I have already filed my taxes for this 2019 and it showed that someone had claimed me, they, meaning the IRS notified me, what do I do now?
I see no such option on the accepted page. Perhaps I misconstrued your instructions? Please elaborately reiterate.
I recently applied non filers for the stimulus payment I plan on doing that I found out someone someone claimed me on their taxes without my permission what can I do
Are you trying to file a real 2019 return on the IRS free file site now ... and it is being rejected ???
If so the reason is you already filed the stimulus return on the TT site ... you cannot Efile 2 tax returns for the same tax year ... that is why the second filing is being rejected.
If you used the IRS non-filer site to get a stimulus check, you will now get a “duplicate SSN” rejection. We are seeing people who did not notice or ignored the warning on that site about using it if they would be filing a tax return.
