@Anonymous wrote:Unfortunately, TT only reinstated ItsDeductible for the 2022 Tax Year through October 15, 2023 (see below link from ItsDeductible) . After that, they will discontinue it again. If this many people rely on ItsDeductible and will switch tax programs, all the Income TT loses will be much higher than the cost of keeping ItsDeductible going!

How do I export my data from ItsDeductible?
SOLVED•by TurboTax•33•Updated 10 hours agoImportant: Intuit has decided not to discontinue ItsDeductible and will continue to support the tool through tax year 2022 (including preparation of 2022 returns until October 15, 2023). Your account and data will continue to be available without interruption. If you are an ItsDeductible user, you should have received a notification of this change on or about July 5, 2022.
Follow these steps to export and save your ItsDeductible data.
- Sign in to your ItsDeductible account here
- Select the tax year you want to save
- Select View Summaries
- Select PDF next to the data you want to save
- Repeat steps 2–4 for all other tax years you’d like to save
We recommend keeping all tax return data for the last three years for your tax records.
When did Intuit tell you they were going to discontinue it again? Did they post that publicly somewhere?

Is Biden trying to eliminate charitable contributions? This is the type of shenanigans he would do.
No, the president doesn't manipulate software in the App Store or Google Play

Intuit has only stated it will support ItsDeductible through the 2022 tax year.

The way TurboTax worded that allows for a lot of "reading between the lines" and gives them some wiggle-room. I suspect TurboTax/Intuit will make a decision each year on whether to continue ItsDeductible. They haven't mentioned 2023 since I suspect they don't want to over-promise, and they also likely don't even know yet themselves. However, unlike this year, they need to make their decision earlier about 2023; i.e., ideally by the new TurboTax product release in December 2022, so people can make decisions. If they decide to discontinue it next year, then they should hopefully avoid even programming a 2023 tab at all, so that people don't start entering 2023.

Correct, but I was responding to another user who, in turn, was responding to a user who wrote, "[after next year] they will discontinue it again". Clearly, we have no way of knowing the course of action Intuit will take after this year (with respect to just about everything).
@Intuit -
I get it - your new business strategy is Mint, and ItsDeductible would need too much $$ investment to keep it going at the quality & security level you desire for an Intuit product. Would it be possible to modify your current business model and charge $20/tax year for those of us who love the product, still itemize deductions, and donate a lot of items starting w/ 2023 forward? That should give it enough to keep it going until you achieve full functional equivalency in Mint.
Once you have full functional equivalency in Mint, then it would be time to consider shutting down ItsDeductibleOnline, but doing so beforehand is premature.
Thanks for listening!

I would be more than willing to continue paying a reasonable annual fee to continue using It's Deductible. How do we bombard Intuit with our thoughts.

Thank you for listening to your loyal customer base for Turbo Tax and It's Deductible. I took the time to write to the office of the president of Intuit and am glad that along with all of those who did, it made a difference. I was in the middle of trying to create a spreadsheet to track and value item donations (it is way more effort than you think) when I saw that It's Deductible will be continued. As others have said, we would be willing to pay a nominal fee with the Turbo Tax purchase to continue to have this valuable tool beyond 2022.
I created such a spreadsheet and it is a lot of work. I developed macros to help format it but it was still a big job.
I also tried. But what I loved about "It's Deductible" is that Turbo tax effortlessly imported the information into the correct tax forms.
I would definitely pay an annual premium to use this service.
Well, I came back from vacation to some wonderful news- that our voices were heard. I applaud everyone who posted here, emailed and otherwise expressed their concerns with ItsDeductible ending so abruptly. We're safe for 2022, but after that... we'll be back in the same boat UNLESS:
Turbotax sees this as a HUGE opportunity to keep and recover a loyal customer base and either:
1.) Keep ItsDeductible indefinitely
2.) Make Mint what the users actually want/need and incorporate all the features from ID ,specifically the ability to track itemized deductions year round, and make all features optional and not required to use it.
I agree with another user's comment that extending to 2023 buys TT some time to figure out what they want to do. I'd pitch for the product to continue to be free, that's a great way to get customers, since we already pay for software.
I am hopeful that TT will continue to listen to us @ErickaY , because there are more concerned users than just us who are posting. (As a user said they didn't bother to post earlier because they thought it was a lost cause.) And if I may add, if TT wants to do a focus group/survey etc. on new features, functionality, etc. you know how to contact us.
There are additional contact points that you should use to ensure your voice is heard.

re It's Deductible 2022 - and it's reinstatement - I am so thankful that it is available again but - I have a list of charities from previous years but now can only add to one of them. [which I did in May, 2022]. Even with the one that I used, I cannot add another date - only update and add to the data already entered. I cannot open any of the other charities to add entries for 2022. Please advise how to continue .
Staying permanently or just through the 2022 tax reporting season?
