Well, I came back from vacation to some wonderful news- that our voices were heard. I applaud everyone who posted here, emailed and otherwise expressed their concerns with ItsDeductible ending so abruptly. We're safe for 2022, but after that... we'll be back in the same boat UNLESS:
Turbotax sees this as a HUGE opportunity to keep and recover a loyal customer base and either:
1.) Keep ItsDeductible indefinitely
2.) Make Mint what the users actually want/need and incorporate all the features from ID ,specifically the ability to track itemized deductions year round, and make all features optional and not required to use it.
I agree with another user's comment that extending to 2023 buys TT some time to figure out what they want to do. I'd pitch for the product to continue to be free, that's a great way to get customers, since we already pay for software.
I am hopeful that TT will continue to listen to us @ErickaY , because there are more concerned users than just us who are posting. (As a user said they didn't bother to post earlier because they thought it was a lost cause.) And if I may add, if TT wants to do a focus group/survey etc. on new features, functionality, etc. you know how to contact us.
